Kate Beckinsale Speaks Fluent Russian

Kate Beckinsale fears her years studying at a British university have been wasted now she has become a Hollywood star.
The 35-year-old studied Russian at England’s elite Oxford University so she could read her favorite books in their original language.
But Beckinsale is disappointed her studies have not been useful in her rise to stardom.
She says,
"Now I only speak Russian with the woman who does my bikini wax.
See what Hollywood does to you."

I think it's great she has an education. She and Natalie Portman are two of my favourites - well educated women who are very self-confidant.

I'm loving that dress more and more every time I see it! It's so funky, but still elegant....and very flattering. The bad thing is, you can only wear it once, it's so memorable! And she knows Russian? Very impressive. I have never been able to learn a foreign language, no matter how hard I try.

Sure she does!!!Maybe she did at some point but i can bet my money that she doesn´t remember it! I did study russian for 11 years and i my mother´s language is slaviac and very similar to russian but since i haven´t use it in like 15 years i don´t remember anything but i mean it NOTHING,i speak one scandinavian language and some spanish as well,is fun to know many languages but you need to practice them all the times to remember them.
I admire people who can speak more than one languages fluently. I wish I could but I don't think I have the patience.

She is useless and so shallow. Pretty stupid for someone who attended Oxford and really stuck up. Last time she didnt know Geography and there's a difference between Rugby and football. If she hates America then leave her American hubby and leave the U.S./stop working here.

I agree she's absolutely stunning but I find her very unlikeable... don't know why.
I live in Belarus and know more than one language just because we have two official ones. I know my native language which is about to die, russian, english, french and german/dutch and my knowledge is useful while watching tv, reading foreign newspapers, companionship in internet etc. It's a pity that Kate didn't find the way to use her knowledges.But i guess she will always be welcomed in Belarus and Russia!
she seems to be a flawless women with peerless beauty in my eyes before I noticed her ignorance. She is such a cocky phony.
