She's portraying herself as a victim! No way! That's your CHILD, Lynn Spears!! BE. THE. PARENT. No choice in the pictures?? Were you not WATCHING when she got DRESSED like that???? There is nothing she can say to "straighten the record out" on why she was such a neglectful, uncaring mother that let her child be exploited sexually for the gratification of perverts. Give it up, Lynn. Go back to the swamps.

I have to agree here, why did she even let her put the clothes on. My thoughts- They wanted the money so her parents let things happen so she'd become rich and famous. It got out of control, bad things happened and Britney ended up a big mess. Someone smartened up, said oh shit and got her help before she ended up dead broke and a no body. Can't stop the cash cow right?
um you had no one to tell you what to be doing? how about being a MOM and saying NO to your daughters or saying NO to a inaprropriate cover for a 15 year old! come on now you stupid inbred!
i agree, no one may havetold them what to do, but as a parent and hopefully with common sense, you won't allow your daughter to pose in a provocative outift like that. you make those decisions BEFORE the shoot Lynne!!
I doubt there is anything that Lynne Spears can say or do that will change my opinion; she is partly responsible for the exploitation that Britney has suffered.
That's all I need to know.
Lynne was/is the mother it was her responsibility to protect her daughter(s).
Writing this book can only be about making more cash off her Britney's name - surely?
Why would any parent do such an awful thing to their child?

Geez, am I always in the minority? I think this family has been through hell. A "careful what you wish for" kind of thing. :( I almost cried when they showed the picture of little girl Britney and then forwarded to her shaving her head. Breaks my heart. :(

I have one Christmas wish this year, that's for Lynne Spears to die a slow and painful death...
Lynne Spears is shameless to a degree that defies comprehension. Is there anything she wouldn't do to exploit her daughter's celebrity status for a buck? She seriously wrote (or had written....much more likely) a book with a serious tone about the insanity that was Britney's rise to fame and how their family changed as a result? If Britney had a strong family behind her maybe she wouldn't have become such a basket case...does Lynne not make the connection. This is worse than other exploitative Hollywood parents soliciting baby pictures (a la Larry Birkhead or Matthew McConaughey...although if we give it time perhaps they too will reach Lynne Spears status as their children grow up, I guess if mourning at Anna Nicole's grave wasn't off limits we can expect wire to wire coverage of little Dannielynn and I'm betting Larry doesn't wait until she is in her 20's before he writes his own book). Lynne Spears effectively put out in black and white what every logical person already acknowledged, that she has no regard for her daughter and is only out for the almighty dollar.
