Jennifer Lopez Talks Babies, Getting Back In Shape And Her Career

Jennifer Lopez doesn't really take the twins out for public consumption. Instead, she enjoys every waking minute she has in the privacy of her own home.  Having recently added a nanny to her payroll, Jennifer insists that she is still hands on and is the primary caregiver for her twins.

People Magazine sat down with the music /tv/radio star to find out the deets.

On getting a nanny:

"I did it for a long time but we started using a nanny a few weeks ago. [Most days] I get up early with them. Then when the nanny comes, I can take a shower and give them their breakfast. She's there to help me get things done."

On getting back to work:

"It's gonna be a learning experience. How will I do both? I try to take breaks from work. I'll do a little work with the choreographers and then come back. I try to spend every free moment with the babies."

On spending the mornings (her favorite time) with the twins:

"When they see you and have that big smile on their face – I live for that.

And when I put them to bed at night and they melt in your arms. I give them a bottle and wind it down. I say, 'It's time for beddy-bye.' I hold them and sing a little song. By the time you know it, they are asleep."

On her post-baby body:

"The triathlon really helped get me in better shape, and snapped me back into my body. I don't weigh myself a lot. I still have 10 lbs., or so. [But] I don't have any problems with it. I never felt I had to get rid of it."

On how she stays so sane about her body image in Hollywood:

"We like to eat! I think you have to love yourself and indulge when you want to, as well as be happy and just have a healthy attitude towards it."

I didn't work out until after 10 weeks that I had my son. I had a c-section just like J.Lo. It's not healthy to work out right away! Women are obsessed with working out right away. Doctors always reccomend a 40 day recovery!

Agreed, and furthermore, I will assume that you HAD to work. This woman could never work again a day in her life and die a multi-millionaire. She should be doing what most women would die to do, and spend at the very least 4 or 5 years at home. She has a luxury most women would love (to spend those formative pre-school years being a full-time mom), and she acts like she's just another working mom. That is not to say she shouldn't have her own life, and work because it fulfills her, but even the most career-driven women would like the option of spending more time with their kids.

Good thing she finally admitted to the whole nanny thing. I was starting to think the twins had a "buddy" system going on. Just like the Duggars. lol

I love how she tells us she takes care of her kids, even though she has a nanny, and expects us to fall all over ourselves because it's sooo amazing. As if raising your own kids is a novelty. It's been done plenty of times before, by people with far less flexibility and financial resources than she than she currently employs.

she's a liar she's always had a nanny. Please,She goes half way way around on tour with her husband, goes to the restaurant all the time and trains for a triathalon and she takes care of her kids too.Nobody believes you JLO .They showed on tv you have 3 nannies and a nurse and a personal masseuse for her babies.Stop trying to pretend you have a normal family life when you don't.

I think the fact that she talks SOOOO much about how "hands-on" she is, is proof that she really ISN'T. I don't know any other mom who feels the need to toot her own horn as often as J-Lo. It's really bizarre. But, really, who cares if she has a nanny??? If I had the money, I'd have a nanny, too! No, what REALLY makes me laugh about Lopez is how hard she tries to make us think she's just a regular ol' gal with a regular ol' home life. We all know that J-Lo has someone who plans her meals, buys her groceries, and cooks for her; someone who cleans her toilets and mops her floors; and someone who runs all her errands. So even if she didn't have a nanny, she certainly didn't have the same kind of life as your average new mom, who spends all her "free" time cooking, cleaning and running around!

True that! She is full of it. And I'm still not convinced she really is sprung on Mark either. She jumped too quickly form one engagement to a marriage.

I always feel just a little bad for her husband Marc when I see them photographed. He looks demure like he's not into all of the media attention at all while she is clearly inviting and loving all of the attention. He adores her obviously, but that must be tough.

I thought she wasn't going to have a nanny? She was just bragging about how she didn't need one. I swear, these celebs will say anything to keep their names in the press. Note to Jlo: Nobody cares. You probably had a nanny all along anyway!

Yes she needs to get over herself! Of course she has a nanny, and a maid, a cook, a trainer, a personal assistant and more! Sorry JLO you are not any better or more of an amazing mother than any other working mom. I think the average working mom is incredible to making it all work without all the "extras" Such a liar..
