It's 2008 people! Don't judge a girl by her skin art! At least that's what Megan Fox is asking of people. The actress claims that every time someone calls her trashy, they bring up her tattoos. And she is sick of the association.
"Everyone hates them because they’re closed-minded about tattoos. People who don’t like me, as far as fans go, always talk about how I’m trashy because I have tattoos. I find that insane! This is 2008, not 1950. Tattoos aren’t limited to sailors. I find them beautiful, so I’m going to keep doing it."

I completely agree with you Sarah! Everything she says is just ridiculous. It's as if she's trying to make some point that no one cares about or trying to stir up some sort of controversy when actually no one cares. I didn't even KNOW she had tattoos and I still don't like her. Good for you, Megan. You think tattoos are gorgeous. No one cares if you keep doing them! And no, not EVERYONE is close-minded and judges you on your tattoos because we all know it's not 1950 (thanks for the newsflash), and many people have them now a days.
i kinda like her ... i certainly don't judge her from her tattoos, which are also kinda cool ... she is not more stupid than the other hollywood starlets

She is not my favorite person BUT I agree with her. People always judge me for my tattoos too. They say "you are a mom, what is your son gonna think when he grows up?". It is no one's bussiness! I have 7 tattoos and I love them. Megan is right....it's 2008, get over it!

People will always judge a person based on their tattoos. It's the way it is. Im covered, but I have been at my job 11 1/2 years and no one here knows i have them. People treat me differently when they find out im tattooed
I like her too! Shes different ya know? Yes she is a gorgeous beautiful girl but she is not like others who keep themselves in a box. Why shouldn't she speak her mind and be herself? I find it refreshing

Tattoos, meh. Everyone has them. I don't think she's trashy based on her tattoos. I think she's trashy based on her behavior and the things she chooses to put out there for public consumption. Have a little dignity, girl!

I agree too.. I have quite a few, including a half sleeve. People are constantly giving me dirty looks and stares. And I too get a lot of "what will your daughter think?" Well SHE LOVES THEM! I just wish people werent so rude. Its MY body not yours so MYOB!

honestly I think people judge her bc they are jealous of how gorgeous she is. So what if she posed in a bikini for GQ? she has an amazing body and she should show it off if she wants to. She is comfortable in her own skin and people that are not hate on her. I think she is gorgeous and lover her tattoos.

I'm not comfortable in my own skin at all, and I never hated on her for doing the GQ shoot. I think if you've got it, flaunt it. And she's got it. She looked great in those shots. But I still don't like her. You have no good point there. I don't dislike her cause I'm jealous. I think that most people dislike her for other reasons than that... That's just really shallow minded thinking there labelling people who aren't fond of her as "jealous" or "not comfortable with themselves."

I just find some of the things she says really daft, and almost like she says things for attention. And I'm not going to go look up quotes to prove it to you. Why can't you accept that I'm not a fan because of the things she's said? Do you want more of a reason or something? I'm sure there are some celebs you don't like because of their personalities.

Monica, I agree with you 100%!! Words, right out of my mouth. I just... don't like her. Yeah, I do think she is pretty, but just the way she acts and carries herself... it's annoying. Asking for a reason to not like someone is dumb.
I think she's trashy because of what she says (most of all), and her CHOICE of tattoos. Marilyn Monroe? Come on. I am an artist and photographer, and as an artist, I think that tattoos are beautiful... IF they are done well, and are meaningful. As a photographer, I know that they do take from the natural beauty of just bare skin too.
I really could care less about her shoot in GQ. I'd be comfortable enough with myself to do it. I may not have huge boobs, but I think at 5'9" and 115, I have nothing to be jealous of her for. Not to be narcissistic. I am just saying I'm not jealous. I'm comfortable, and still think she's trashy. Gorgeous- Yes. But DEFINITELY trashy.

Megan is gorgeous! with or without tattoos! Ive read a few of her interviews and she says some off the wall things but at least she says whats on her mind, and when speaking to the media or a magazine I think that takes a lot of courage because you know that one way or another some one will have something negative to say about it.
Megan, and everyone else who gets tatts, wants people to notice them and have a reaction. It's very much a "hey, look at me!" decision. If you don't want people to judge you because of your trashy tatts, then don't get them.

Personally, i think she is gorgeous, absolutely stunning. When i saw her tattoos i thought she was even more beautiful. But that is just me "To each his own" I don't necessarily care for the stuff she says, i think she tries to hard.
I personally think tattos are tacky but that's just me. I think she is beautiful and all but what turns me off about her is that she's trying too hard to be like Angelina. She's too phoney and everything she does is for publicity stunt.

Well said, rtenney. I have 9 tattoos, 2 of them are visible (I got them to cover some much more unattractive scars from an accident on my hand) and I do get judged for having them (I work for the government - LOTS of ultra-conservative people here)....but lately I see more and more people showing theirs here at work and I think that that is what makes our country great - maybe you don't like the way I look and but that's your problem.

She IS gorgeous, when she's not dressed all porny. But her tattoos are just straight-up stupid and a little cliched.
I hold absolutely nothing against this girl. In fact, her tattoos dont detract from her gorgeous face but the truth isn I`m sick of Hollywood. I just dont get why I should care about what non-derserving famous people say sorry.

I'm not judging her tattoos.. I personally have no problem with tattoos; but the one that i've seen of hers - the Marliyn Monroe one, well that it HIDEOUS.

I have two small, hidden tats, but I would never call someone else's choice of body art trashy. What I do find tacky, trashy, whatever you want to call it, is how she goes out of her way to tell stories like the one about the stripper in GQ. Did anyone actually believe that story? I mean, really? She may be attracted to girls, but let's face it--she's trying to take a page from Angelina Jolie's book and shock the public (Angie had a relationship w/ an Asian model named Jenny Shmizu.). Only problem? Nobody really cares all that much about Megan Fox. Is she pretty with makeup and styling? Sure--but there are tons of 'actresses' out there now with no talent who get jobs based on their looks alone. And Monica, I'm right there with you--this girl is not trashy because of her tats, it's because of the way she tries to present her self. Meg, get some self respect and shut your mouth. You'll be a whole lot more likeable.
Even if she had NO TATTOOS WHATSOEVER, I'd still find her trashy as hell. She looks dirty, her skin is bad, her makeup is always waaaaaay too much, her lips are fake (before she had no upper lip at all), her hair is way too dark and always dirty looking...she looks like some cheap whore at a bar. And it's not just her looks, like you guys said..she sounds like a moron in interviews. Not exactly the lady you'd be proud to be seen with, you know?
In fact, I actually find her tattos to be very good looking and interesting. It's the girl that's nasty! :)

I don't like her at all, for some reason, but I agree about the tattoos. I have 6, and 11 piercings, but none are obvious apart form the ring in my lip. Once some people know I have that many, they treat me differently. It's very annoying!!

Close minded? We aren't talking about some profound concept or philosophy she is espousing, we are talking about permanent ink stains she has injected under her skin. She can shave her head and wear a potato sack to express herself too, it doesn't mean someone is close minded for finding it to be a turn off. Tattoos look trashy and are an eyesore. There I said it. I don't give a damn if anyone is offended. No inkstain on a girl's body could ever be as beautiful as her natural skin. Women have a right to get as many trashy tattoos as they like, and I've got a right to say they make me (and virtually every guy I've ever talked with about the subject) CRINGE. Girls without tattoos simply look classier and more beautiful:)
