Blown Tire May Have Caused Plane Crash With DJ Am And Travis Barker
This just goes to show that no matter how careful an airline is, anything can happen. People is reporting that the plane crash involving Travis Barker and DJ AM may have been caused by a blown tire.
"The cockpit voice recorder went on for two hours, but the last 18
minutes were most pertinent, because those words proved that it was a
tire blowout that [may have] caused the crash killing four people,"
Debbie Hersman, board member of the National Transportation Safety
Board in Washington, D.C., tells PEOPLE.
"After getting their clearance from Air Traffic Control, the
plane only got 80 knots on the 8,600-foot runway before the incident,"
she said.
UGH. I got chills just reading that. Life is too short. Also in news related to the crash, Mandy Moore just flew in to be with DJ AM. I wonder if Nicole Richie will be visiting anytime soon...

i feel so badly for these two. I am sure as soon as they got out...ugh, I can't even think about it. How sad for them knowing they were the only ones to make it. my thoughts go out to all family and friends for EVERYONE on that plane.
it's truly miraculous they survived. you know shanna is there...she loves travis so much...

I wondered also about Nicole, Vera. It's said she's terribly shocked but will she go and see him? Indeed she is not his girlfriend anymore but they stayeed together for a long time, I think it would be nice to show him support by vising him. He must need support SO much...

Hollywood, babies, and broken engagements aside......I dont see why Nicole wouldnt go visit him. I mean....they were together for a while, and were actually engaged. Just because she's with someone new and has a baby doesnt mean her heart should automaticlly stop caring about an individual. Doesnt have to mean she's IN LOVE with him...just means she cares..from one person to another. ***annie***
it's so sad. i read that the reason they left at midnight was because Travis assistant's (chris baker) wife was in labor and about to give birth. all of this is just so sad :(
The other posters are right. Sure they are not together now but they were for quite a while and engaged. While I am sure she wouldn't normally seek him out, things like this are very different.
I wouldn't be surprised if Nicole and Joel both went because Travis is a friend of Joel's.

This is all just so sad, I think that Nicole should visit, they were very serious for a while. I can't even imagine how upset Chris' wife is. My prayers are with all the familes in this time.
I guess it'll be an opportunity to see if Nicole is actually a nice person. (I "guess" only because there could be several reasons for not visiting him, apart from meanness, maybe she won't want to leave Harlow, or to take the plane, or to disturb Adam...)
