Mariah Carey Lands Another Movie Role

I guess not everybody hated Glitter. :) Mariah Carey has landed another big acting role in a film called Push. A director saw her in her most recent movie, Tennessee and cast her for Push right away.
Director Lee Daniels was so impressed with her grit that he's cast her in "Push," in which she plays a Harlem social worker ministering to an obese, HIV-positive woman impregnated twice by her father.
That's not all. Mariah is also doing a Christmas musical.
It's about a town outside a city - perhaps not unlike Mariah's hometown of Huntington, L.I. - where a ruthless developer wants to turn it into one big mall.
"Mariah doesn't want to let that happen," says her producing partner Benny Medina. "Her character uses song and love to keep the Christmas spirit alive."
Hmmm, will you be giving Mariah's acting skills another chance?

she's one of the most talented singers ever...an actress...not so much!

She should stick to singing, even though I can't stand that either!

Blech. Hope it's just rumors.
I didn't think Glitter was really all that bad.
what was the firtst movie this ham was in?
with all that damn money she should have someone do her eyebrows. Someone needs to tell her to grow those out and get them shaped better! bleeeeeeeeeeeeeh
LOL! Her eyebrows have always bothered me! Nice to see I'm not the only one.
Hey there, I thought I would let you know, that the movie PUSH is an actual book that I have read...I will say that it is not for the faint of heart...very hard to swallow, yet a very good book. I do not recall a social worker being a large part in the book, but we all know how often movies stay in line with books. Needless to say, she would NOT be even close to a main character in the movie...
You should really try to check out that book!
Mariah Can sing, Dance, Act and do her Eyebrows well, very well. I loved glitter well the story was kind of fake but I think Mariah Acted well.
