George Clooney Is Definitely Done With E.R.

E.R. might be the show that made George Clooney but he knows when enough is enough and he's putting his foot down against any idea of coming back.  The producers want him to do the final season as they've had the writers think up storylines for all the major characters in hopes that they'll all return.  Unfortunately, his publicist put a quick end to that.

"He is on record as saying he is not coming back," said
Clooney's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, on Monday. "It is
something he has already done. He is busy making movies."

That's too bad.  I would looooove to see a final season with George in it! What about you?

I do think it would've been cool but I completely understand his not having the time or even not wanting to do it. :)

UH...ER is not a "sitcom"...I think that is pretty ungrateful of Clooney. If it weren't for ER, he wouldn't even be acting right now.

Not necessarily. Do you know who his father is??? He would still be famous.

george and brad are gay divas!

If I have to see Brad in those ridiculous hats anymore, I'm going to be sick. Brad! What are you hiding! Besides any sense of looking good.......Oh, and I agree, w/out ER, we would probably only know George from being on "Roseanne".

Hair plugs is what I think he's hiding. His hair looks so fake and weird the last year or so.

Anonymous at 3:48 beat me to it, but yeah, ER is not a sitcom. "Sitcom" is short for situation comedy. ER is a lot of things, but situation comedy isn't one of 'em. An entertainment site should know the difference.

"Busy making movies"? More like busy shooting ads, Mr Rosenfield. Ads to make money to pay off the escort, probably. Or busy taking 10 months off - and counting.

i am not passing judement(well, maybe) but if it was me, i would definately want to pay respect to the show that launched my career. i really don't see any point not to. btw, "Busy making movies," i am sorry but everything he did before BAR was a complete flop. HE even said that most of his movies don't do well. i think his name should have been on that list of over paid celebrities.

it's funny how quickly a person forgets how it all started

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Acutally, he first started as Booker on Rosanne. So cute!!

So ... I guess all of you who think George owes something to ER would go back to one of YOUR old jobs and work. You know, since they gave you experience.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

oh its not nearly the same thing!

Anonymous123 Anonymous123 said:

I don't think he was trying to be ungrateful....he just want to move on. He want to focus on movies because that is what he enjoys. Nothing wrong with that. Would you guys go back to the job where you started even though you're doing well whatever you're doing now? Didn't think so. You only go back if you haven't done anything in a while and you need money. If George did go back, wouldn't people think - wow he must be desperate?

If the storyline wasn't too involved (like it only involved a few days of shooting), then I think George should have deigned to do it. After all, he wouldn't be doing *any* movies if it weren't for ER.

Clooney looks anorexic and old, and he probably feels like he doesn't owe anything to ER and he's above everyone else, not very different from his character Dr. Ross, so I am actually relieved that he is not coming back, that way I will enjoy the final season.
