Matthew McConaughey Turned Recent Movie Set Into Trailer Park
Ah... home sweet home. You know that's exactly how Matthew McConaughey likes to roll. On the beach, very low key, surrounded by friends and good times. Who needs the Ritz Carlton when you can create an impromptu trailer park a few feet from the surf?
Matty's love of trailer life saved millions on the set of new movie Surfer, Dude as the majority of the cast and crew hung around in Airstream trailers at Malibu's beach park. For 28 days, studio execs laughed their way to the bank counting the bags of money they just saved on accommodations.
Matthew said it felt like home.
"It felt like home. We moved everyone into the trailer park. We had about 16 trailers and everyone worked out of those, so it was a real family circus."

Matthew used to really annoy me, but I'm liking him more and more now. I like how he does things the way he wants, doesn't follow the Hollywood Sheep Machine. He seems pretty cool.

He filmed a couple of films up here (Vancouver) in 2000 and 2005 and yeah, stayed in his trailer. He stayed on the Indian reserve one time. He was laid back with everyone and everyone enjoyed having him around a lot. He's a kind guy.
