Sharon Stone Loses Custody Of Her Son!
UsWeekly is reporting that Sharon Stone just lost physical custody of her 8 year old son Roan. Sharon's ex husband will gain full custody, and the order is permanent.
According to documents detailing a September 12, 2008 custody hearing, her ex-husband Phil Bronstein
"shall have permanent sole physical custody of child. Court finds that
respondent [Sharon Stone] failed to meet her burden of proof and denies
respondent's [Sharon Stone's] request for modification of custody."The judge notes the order is permanent unless there is a change of circumstances.
I wonder what caused this. After all, she still has custody of her other two little kids Quinn Kelly Stone and Laird. Wow, I'm a little bit shocked.

How awful! I had no idea she had two other children, either.
She adopted her other children alone so her ex husband has no claim to them. I wonder why it is not joint custody- is it usual in the US for one parent to get custody and the other one visitation rights, or is joint ustody the norm?

I wonder if it's a school-related thing. I had read that if she moved near where the dad lived, then the case could be looked at again and possibly change the order.
She lost custody because the boy is living in a stable environment with his father and is going to school there. Giving Sharon custody or shared physical custody would mean making the child move from where he's become comfortable. It may SOUND like a big slap in the face (and probably feels devastating to her as well) but it makes sense. I think this was a case of , If the boy is happy where he is, why make him move?
Elama, it just depends on the situation, I think they are both done pretty equally here in the US (joint custody vs sole custody). I'm not surprised she didn't win her case, she really seems strange now. I saw that old movie "Total Recall" the other day, and had forgotten how gorgeous she was back in the day.
Phil Bronstein did not want to be married to Sharon Stone during her brain aneurysm. He wanted his sex symbol wife but not the sick woman who needed his help. He cheated on Stone with one of his staff and got married to her because she got pregnant. He is just using Roan to hurt Sharon. This man is evil!!

Sorry to be one to state the obvious, but Sharon is a loon! She has been out in left field for some time. Maybe that had a bit to do with the custody order.
