DJ AM Returns To Los Angeles Via Bus

Adam Goldstein has returned to Los Angeles from Georgia, where he has been hospitalized since last Saturday after a plane crash, which left four dead.
Goldstein, aka DJ AM, took the bus home from Augusta’s Joseph Still Burn Center, where he was treated for second and third-degree burns.
As WENN went to press, it was not known when Travis Barker would be returning to Los Angeles.
I wonder if these two will ever fly again. I'm not so sure I would be able to. But with time, all things heal...

all things don't heal with time
I came on here to say the same thing!

I'm shocked that he's traveling already. Just seems so soon. Burns take a long time to heal. None of us can truly understand the trauma these men have been through both physically and mentally. It's awful. :(
US magazine (online) retracted that story. It isn't true that DJ AM is back in Los Angeles. He is definitely still in the hospital.
"took the bus home" as in going Greyhound? From the post title, I was picturing a big old conversion rock star bus, pimped out with hospital bed and nurses. But that line is kind of funny, makes is sound like his seat is in the back by the potty.
US retracting the story makes the most sense of all.

My grandmother passed away in a plane crash almost identical to this one. Things take a LONG time to heal after losing a loved one like that.
"Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die"
First off, I agree with the above poster that the way this is written sounds like he hopped a Greyhound and headed west. I doubt very seriously that he has been moved. Most burn victims that die develop infections. I can't imagine that he is well enough to travel less than a week later. Not only would the risk of infection be too great, but I would imagine he is either still in a medically-induced coma or at least heavily sedated because of the pain.
They are not burn victims. We are burn survivors. And I was in the hospital 14 day. So I would think he would still be in the hospital unless they transported him to another hospital close to home.
was he discharged or transferred to another hospital? it just seems too soon to be going home.

I agree, some things are too traumatic to recover from. but, seriously, what are the chances that this would happen again? even if you drive, there's still a greater risk of getting in an accident. I think he will fly again, he's a very busy DJ and that requires him to travel frequently. it would take him a long time to get everywhere he needs to be. I wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

post traumatic stress is a challenge, but driving is more dangerous than flying. they should just stick to commercial flights in the future. their jobs require lots of travel, i am sure they will get over it once they are healed.

I wouldn't be able to fly for a LONG time, but like the majorty says here, all things heal with time.

I love you Vera! Just for that news I love you :-) I hope this is true indeed.
Back in 2006 I had 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 25% of my body. Mostly my legs. I would say that it will be very hard for them to ever fly again. My life has changed so much since I was burned. I had to have skin graphs done and I was in the hospital only 14 day and then off work for a total of 5 months. I would never wish anyone to go through the pain of burns and to put on top of all that pain they lost 4 people.
I just pray that will be okay. I am scared to death of any kind of smoke fire or grease that smells hot.
That's cool of his tattoo.
I will do a tattoo if have a chance.
