Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds quietly married in Canada among a very small group of family and friends. In August, Scarlett gave the press a quote about wanting to take her time with the engagement. I guess that lie was to throw the world off on their bigger plan.
"We're just enjoying our time. We're just recently - very recently - engaged. So, you know, we're just taking it easy. And no big plan yet. But it's a good time, and we're just... enjoying our time to be young and engaged. I mean, I'm 23. There's no reason to rush into it. Everything feels very natural and relaxed."

I honestly didn't think they would go thru with it. Glad I didn't make any bets. Didn't she say something about wanting to wait until after the election was over or something equally absurd? I send them my Best Wishes on their marriage.

i agree. i don't know about most women, but i could never trust guys like him. he left the woman he was with when he found someone he thought was better; who is to say he won't leave her when he finds someone he thinks is better than her. idk, but that is hollyweird for you: it won't last. good luck, though. they are still human and i do wish them the best.

Best wishes! I bet that is why she has been biting heads off, it the stories were true. Afraid of being outed on the ceremony, and who wasn't stressed before their wedding? Some do turn into bridezillas. Good for them for doing it under the radar.

Isn't 23 a little young to get married by normal standards, then add being a rich, famous, and drop dead gorgeous woman into the mix and you wonder why someone would get married THAT young. I am pretty sure Scarlett is not stupid so I would wager to say that she is taking a gamble. I am sure she loves him and wants to be his wife, but knows if it doesn't work out they can just divorce. When you have a life like Scarlett has, with so many adventures and experiences left to have in her life, the chances that she will remotely be the same person in 4 years that she is now, it slim. I am sure that she will be married at least 3 more times before she is 50. She is one of the most sort after girls in hollywood. Everyone loves her. She is like 40 dimensional. To give yourself to one person at 23 is just downright stupid. Can you tell I think it was a bad idea? LOL! I should get a life.

Good for them for sneaking it past the press! :) I was never a fan of either of them but I absolutely loved Scarlet in the Nanny Diaries and a few other movies and I LOVED Ryan in Definitely, Maybe. :)

I don't understand why people are so negative about this. I think it's wonderful and I wish them the best. They both seem like down to earth people. I mean look, they had a small, quiet wedding in Canada instead of going after the glitzy, money-making gigantic hollywood weddings. I hope it lasts!

Erm. RYAN is Canadian, so why shouldn't he be married there?
Regardless of anything else, I don't think they've been together long enough to know whether they're a good fit. But best of luck, congrats, whatevs.
