Fact Or Fiction: Charlize Theron Has An Odd Use For Her Oscar
I'm sure Charlize Theron has a really big house. So big in fact that a guest would have a hard time finding the powder room if they weren't familiar with the floor plan. Naturally, Charlize would have to direct her friends to where they want to be. Does she use her Oscar as part of her plan?
A source from the NY Daily News is claiming that Charlize uses her Oscar to help guide people to the bathroom. The source is claiming Charlize would tell her guests,
Take a left
at the Oscar."
That's actually pretty funny. I might do that if I had an Oscar. The source also says the statue is clearly in a spot where everyone can see it.
"You can see the Oscar clearly from
the hallway. You can't miss it!"
What do you think? Does this sound like Charlize? Is this actress someone that would throw the statue in the face of her friends? Or is it so harmless that it's no big deal?

I can see her doing that in a totally joking way. This is one woman who I dont feel takes herself too seriously. Prime example - her character on Arrested Development lol

Whatever. I like this woman. If I had an Oscar, you'd damn well better believe that I'd display it -- prominently. At least she was creative about it. I get SO tired of hearing people say, "oh, I gave it to my agent." Or "I stuck it in a coat closet." Um, ooookkkay.

Why not? She can be proud of her Oscar. Not everyone gets one!
Display it proudly! People display awards/diplomas/etc all the time in their homes. It's a huge accomplishment. Why should she have to hide it? And I agree w/ the others, she always makes jokes in interviews, seems so down to earth, she was probably kidding anyways.

I agree with Jan and CapturingLife - every time I see her in an interview, she cracks me up. She's goofy and I can totally see her nonchalantly telling people that the bathroom's by the Oscar!

This was taken from an interview for "Battle in Seattle" search youtube for charlize and cbs. She was joking. No one leaves a oscar lying around. She was quit funny when telling that story. The Quotes are inaccurate as well.
