Anyone In The Mood For Yummy Cupcakes?
Hayden Panettiere picked up some cupcakes at Yummy Cupcakes in Burbank earlier today looking very chic in skinny jeans and stiletto heels. I noticed all her accessories were gold and that got me thinking... do you wear gold or silver/platinum jewelry? My wedding / engagement rings are platinum, so I've stuck to that kind of jewelry for the last ten years or so.
Yes, I'm writing about jewelry so the last thought I have for the evening is not about cupcakes...

I hope those cupcakes are better than this season of Heroes so far. I was a huge fan during the first season, but last season was awful, and this season isn't much better.
I'm a silver/platinum fan but I have noticed gold is making a big comeback, I'm just not sure I'm ready to jump onboard......
she looks like she's lost weight.

I was thinking the exact same thing!!!! Not that she had too much weight on her before or anything, but she did lose some.

Um no, but i'll take that swingin handbag!
She's beautiful, but those thighs don't look like she needs any cupcakes... hopefully they were for friends or coworkers.
Seriously, she's already a friggin size 0...how much skinnier does she need to be???
If that's a size 0, I am the Pope.

Silver/Platinum jewelery is my fave, and I have LOADS of that kind of jewelery, but sometimes I'm in a gold mood. Whatever shade I have on, I have to wear ALL silver, or ALL gold. It has to match the hardware on my purse that I'm carrying that day and also the shoes. It's an obsession. I just won't leave the house without all my metals in sync.

I actually have 2 sets of jewls. Silver, gold and a set of blue bangles (for my blue dress-up skirt)
I think yellow gold jewelry looks cheap. Platinum/white gold all the way!!

I remember how BIG Gold was in the 80's (kind of BIG like hair was, too!) I still have some of my thick gold necklaces and bracelets, but most of my jewelry now is silver/platinum, including my wedding set. But, like others have said, sometimes I'm just in a gold mood. Thanks, lizzy, for the tip on 'mixing metals'. I might just have to do that!

I am definitely partial to silver, platinum and white gold, but for certain outfits I have a complete gold set - earrings, bangels and a couple rings. Its all about your skin tone and the accents on your outfit (i.e. gold belt buckle, gold buttons, etc).
you have to have both, tho i do prefer silver/platinum...

I always said I would never wear gold when I was younger. I have blonde hair, and my Grandma always said that gold would look so good with my skin and hair. My wedding ring is platinum, but now I wear my grandma's ring and it's gold. She was right :) It's just so much more expensive that silver.....
When I was younger, I only wore silver. Now I pretty much only wear gold. I do think gold is much more flattering on almost all skin tones. Although I'm not used to seeing gold engagement rings, so who knows what I will want when I get married. It's funny though how my older sister refuses to wear yellow gold-- i think she has an association of it with cheesy 80s and cannot let go of that. Whereas I wear it b/c I notice that most celebrities today wear gold, and it looks great on them.

When I was younger I wore Gold, I was told it works with my skin tone. But now I prefer Silver/White Gold but have been known to switch back and forth...
