Beyonce Didn't Want An Engagement Ring

Really??? Maybe the fact that she wears diamonds all the time (and has the ability to purchase any ring she wants) makes owning an engagement ring no big deal.

In a rare, candid interview, Beyonce actually opened up about her relationship with Jay Z to Essence Magazine. They NEVER talk about their personal lives and it's really been working out for them. They seem like one of the strongest couples in young Hollywood today because of it. 

On not wanting an engagement ring:

"People put too much emphasis on that," she says. "It's just material and it's just silly to me." 

Instead the couple opted to tattoo the Roman numeral IV on their ring finger. Both birthdays and their wedding fall on that date.

On not embracing the photo op:

"What Jay and I have is real. It's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real," 

On having a small wedding:

"It's been my day so many days already."

 On knowing she found her soul mate:

"We've been together a long time," she says. "We always knew it would happen."
