Best Red Carpet Dresses Of All Time - Elizabeth Hurley Takes The Lead

Elizabeth Hurley has topped a poll to find the best red carpet star of all time - for wearing a dress held together by safety pins at a film premiere.
The Austin Powers actress shot to fame when she accompanied her then-boyfriend Hugh Grant to the premiere of 1994 film Four Weddings And A Funeral wearing a barely-there Versace frock.

Um... what? This look beat out Hollywood heavy hitters like Audrey Hepburn and Kate Winslet. 3,000 people were polled... I would love to know where they came from.

Here is the rest of the list from Yahoo UK:

2. Audrey Hepburn - White, belted flower patterned Givenchy dress: Oscars

(1954)

3. Julia Roberts - black vintage Valentino dress: Oscars (2001)

4. Catherine Zeta Jones - red Versace dress: Oscars (1999)

5. Jennifer Lopez - plunging sheer green Versace dress: Grammy's (2000)

6. Keira Knightley - dark plum Vera Wang one shouldered dress: Oscars (2006)

7. Kate Winslet - red one shoulder flower strap gown by Ben de Lisi gown:

Oscars (2002)

8. Halle Berry - Elie Saab net and embroidery topped dress: Oscars (2002)

9. Bjork - outrageous swan dress designed by Marjan Pejoski: Oscars (2001)

10. Kate Moss - vintage ripped Christian Dior gold satin gown: The Golden

That dress made Liz famous, that must be the difference. They were all memorable dresses, one more stunning than the next.

It made her famous, yes. But I wouldn't call her "the best red carpet star of all time". She wears the same every year! Tight dress, slit up to her crotch and her boobs about to fall out.

didn't cindy crawford wore the exact same dress?

I guess they can get by with it cuz it's called the most ICONIC dresses, not the best dresses.
