Leonardo DiCaprio Lends A Hand

Leonardo DiCaprio Lends A Hand

There are celebrities out there who truly seemed to have dedicated their lives to using their fame and money to make the world a better place.  Leonardo DiCaprio definitely falls among that group of people who is constantly working to help good causes. This time he's putting his efforts towards rebuilding an entire town!  A tornado was announced last year and residents of Greenburg, Kansas had less than 20 minutes to evacuate. 95% of the entire city was destroyed.

DiCaprio is
backing a campaign
, entitled the Greenburg Project, which aims to
completely renovate and rebuild the devastated town - bringing hope
back to its citizens.

Of his charitable efforts, Leo says,

"I have the Greensburg project, which is rebuilding an entire city in Kansas. I'm continuing to work with outreach programs. The most profound lesson I've learned in all of this work is that people don't want to be told what to do or how to think."

I only wish more celebs would follow his lead!

I live in Kansas and this has been extremely devastating to all those here. This city was essentially wiped off the map; it doesn't exist anymore. Not as many people know about it as say, Katrina, but that doesn't mean the destruction and damage is any less overwhelming. I don't care who helps out, Leonardo DiCaprio or some random kind strangers. As long as the word gets out and gets people talking and learning about Greensburg its good news! Please give what you can to help these poor people who lost more than just their homes, but their addresses, their town, everything. Thank you!

I like Leo, I like his movie and he's a good actor. He's also a genuinely nice guy it seems. But DUDE he looks like an idiot that way he wears his hat all the time.
I could not live my life always dressing like Im hiding.
Besides if I was paparazzi I'd just look for the only guy wearing a hat in that manner. 99% of the time it'd be Leo
