Going another way, so that was Angie’s first husband?

  2. Anonymous says:

she is so not sexy…and tries way too hard to be something she obviously is not.

  3. Anonymous says:

hahahaha! what a goof! hahaha im embarrassed for that cancke strap on wearing freak!

  4. dawnoc1 says:

I didn’t think it was THAT awful, but it did seem awkward. I can’t help rooting for her.

  5. Anonymous says:

The reason it is so weird to watch is that she just looks like somebody’s Mom trying to be SEXY!
She wasn’t a sexy thang on Dawsons Creek and she squandered what sexy years she had dating Tom Cruise. Lately she just looks rough and mommish.
Honestly (and for me to say this is huge) Katie Holmes doesn’t even look good enough for Tom Cruise anymore.

She looks Old, Tired, Mommish, and Worn Out.

  6. anniedawg25 says:

I thought she looked and sang great. I’ve always thought Katie was cute. She’s doing something outside the box and I congratulate her for that. I know I would have sounded HORRENDOUS. lol ***annie***

  7. nononinokc says:

I love Katie! I think you have to watch the whole episode before forming an opinion. This was merely a snapshot….

  8. feistycali says:

I didn’t think it was awful, I think she looked like she was having fun, good for her for doing it.

  9. Anonymous123 says:

awful awful awful…my ears are bleeding…wtf?? I’m so embarrassed for her. she is making a complete fool out of herself! OMG!!

  10. Anonymous says:

    that was painful to watch.

  11. zaoli says:

It did seem a little awkward, but had it been any other random actress and not the closely watched Kate, I don’t know that I would have thought one way or the other, she is just an extra on a TV show after all. And I agree, you’d probably need to see the whole episode to figure out exactly what she was supposed to be doing, but still a tad…off.

  12. Kristiopal says:

I’d like to see the whole episode (as someone else mentioned) before making my final opinion. Good for her for getting out there…but her voice doesn’t seem as strong as it should be for a role in broadway. (was this shot before the broadway show opened?)

**you know, I just watched it again…somehow it was better the second time????

If it wasn’t such a stupid song it might have been good. Was she saying “hit me with a high note and watch me bounce”??? Hello even Beyonce couldn’t sing that campy song and not look like an idiot.

  14. Athena says:

I think everyone is being harsh on her. It really wasn’t that bad. I was actually surprised by her voice…definitely did not expect that sound from her. But yeah the dancing was a little awkward…I think it’s the hair…the hair was just unsightly.

  15. operaghost says:

The hair and the, um, outfit was actually the worst part. Weird, though. Kind of awkward.

  16. Ha says:

I didn’t think the singing was horrible. Could NOT get passed the hair. It’s just so wrong in so many ways.

  17. Tyra says:

I didn’t think it was really all that bad, but I was wondering if she is trying too hard to be like Nicole Kidman. Broadway, singing, dancing, fashionista, etc.

  18. Ha says:

Its like she was trying desperately to channel Chicago.

  19. Andrea R. says:

I think it was the hairstyle. I didn’t think it was that bad. I think she is very pretty but it’s hit and miss with her sometimes. But that hair! Other than that, it was fine.

  20. Jenelle says:

I don’t think it was that bad at all. I know I would never be able to hit those high notes!!

  21. momster says:

I thought it was kind of cute! I like her hair like that – for the part, not for real life, though!

  22. tromba says:

That was really very good. Her intonation was perfect, she was fairly strong up high and rock solid in the lower register. Her interpretation was very good – she has a nice subtle vibrato and classy pitch bends. I play in a professional big band and she can front us any time.

The only complaint I would have is that she is too thin. She is beautifully stauesque and can carry some more weight. I’m 50/50 on the short hair.

  23. Alexann says:

OMG – I LOVED IT! Totally cute & sexy. You guys have no culture or diversity. (Sorry . . . but that’s my opinion.)

  24. Anonymous says:

You people are just DOWN on Katie. While she’s not a very attractive girl and not really very talented, this little routine was kind of cute!!!!! Good for her for spreading her wings. At least she’s not being held prisoner at home!!!!!!

  25. sherry says:

Well, I am not so sure about the hair, but she actually did better than I thought. I like Katie…..not sure why so many are so down on her.

  26. AnonymousinChicago says:

What an odd casting choice. There are a million sexy Broadway stars out there who would have sang and vamped the hell out of that! She just made it look awkward. Katie is a girl next door type. She always will be.

  27. tromba says:

Check your use of the word “vamp”. In music, used as a verb, means to repeat a section as needed.

  28. C.Mo says:

    That was uhhh interesting?

  29. Amy says:

You took the words right out of my mouth. I don’t know what to think.

  30. Lose That Girl says:

*ahem!* Is someone auditioning for her next Broadway role – Chicago, perhaps? Um, stick to shopping on 5th Ave with your 3 year old, Katie.losethatgirl blog

  31. Anastasia Beaverhausen says:

Oh wow. Not saying this is the most appropriate reaction… but I felt really, really, embarrassed. Oh, so, so sad. WTH has happened to this girl?

  32. papyrus says:

wow … signing is not too bab but its very hard to watch her dance. she looked awkward and uncomfortable

  33. edeliz says:

I went to check if the cat was being tortured! My, my oh my, that WAS interesting.

  34. gia says:

well, it wasnt as bad as i thought, but still not very good at all…she is seriously losing her looks for some reason…i dont know what it is, but her face looks terrible here.

  35. Nanea says:

So why is she in this business again? She can’t act, she can’t sing, she can’t dance. She may be nice to look at, but that’s about it. Can’t she just go away on a spaceship to wherever those $cientos apparently came to Earth from and take her crazy husband with her? They can leave the kid, it’s not her fault she’s stuck with those people.

  36. Shanhole says:

It just doesn’t look….right. Something is off.

  37. Judyh says:

I have to agree with everyone here….something was just not right about that but I can’t quite say what. It’s just strange………….

  38. Anonymous says:

    BRAVO KATIE HOLMES!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!

  39. patches says:

What a beautiful family and I cant wait to watch this show for KH. So many were impressed by this and now Im joining that club.

  40. Anonymous says:

So exciting….dying to see the chemistry of Katie and Johnny…..Katie is just divine.

  41. Anonymous says:

    BREATHTAKING!

  42. Anonymous says:

I’m sorry, but her talents rare minimal at best. Why are all of us being harsh on her? It’s simple: there are so many talented actresses that have amazing voices and can dance brilliantly and have actual acting abilities. One of those actressses should be doing that part. She was paid to be amazing…that is her job…and she wasn’t…so, I’m sorry- but she opened herself to criticism. We all know there is only one reason that she was on that show., and it had nothing to do with her abilities. Harsh …but so true.

  43. Anonymous says:

I watched the whole episode and am afraid Katie Holmes may have just ruined my fav, Eli Stone. The show is great, she is a train wreck! I hope her stint on ES is over!
