Jennifer Love Hewitt To Run Marathon

Jennifer Lopez isn’t the only celebrity Jen to do a marathon this year. Looks like Jennifer Love Hewitt wants to take a swing at completing one as well. Unfortunately for Love, she has bad knees and ankles due to a life of dancing which she admits might cause problems. Nevertheless, the actress is willing to give it a try.

“It’s something I wanted to try and train for, for a long time. I have really messed-up knees and ankles from dancing, so I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get through it, but I’m excited.”

she just wants attention & for people to think she is fit & not simply a fat ass…i love how she adds in that her knees are bad, so she has an out when she realizes that she cant do it or just doesnt want to anymore. its the fad of the moment, so she decided to jump on the bandwagon. if its for charity, then she gets even more publicity for it. i am sure her agent is working overtime trying to get better publicity for her since that whole size 2 embarrassment.

What Jennifer should do is pose for Playboy. It’s something she hasn’t done, which is original on her part,AND it won’t hurt her ankles or knees,…..:)

What the heck! so now everyone in hollywood wants to run a marathon?

im not trying to be a smart allick here, but what marathon did Jennifer Lopez do?

She did a mini triathlon, but a marathon? 26.2 miles? A 5k or 10k race is not near a marathon, at best 1/4 the distance.

If im wrong , please correct me. And yes, im a runner, and have done a few marathons. With the right training, they arent that difficult for almost anyone. It doesnt bother me when someone does one and wants to pat themselves on the back, but it does when people say things like, “i did a mini marathon” or “i did a 10k marathon”.

No you didnt. You did a 5k, or a 10k.

attention: everyone named jen, jenny, jenny from the block, jennifer, jen-nay…hell, if your name starts with a “j”. please jump on the marathon bandwagon immediately. thank you.

other than that, anyone else digging the paris hilton wonk eye she’s sporting, or what looks to be the fake disney tattoo on her chest? anyone?

Does anyone in Hollyweird ever have an original thought?

Didn’t ya’ll know running marathons is the IN thing right now. Dust off those sneakers.

i wonder if she’ll run it in 5 and half hours like Katie Holmes did. im sorry, but 13 minute miles is NOT RUNNING. I could walk faster than that.

  11. Embee says:

I did a marathon when/because I turned thirty (had done several before and thought I was done ) so I understand the impetus. As for Katie Holmes’ time, I think it’s unfair to diminish what she accomplished. I’m not fast (my marathon times all center around 4:30) and I worked my butt off. The marathon is a head game as much as a run and anyone who finishes deserves praise and respect, not criticism. And I think it’s admirable of these celebrities to demonstrate athleticism. We always complain that they starve themselves, are unhealthy role models, etc. By all means, let fitness and strength be the new trend.

Well said…I am currently training for my first marathon and I think that anyone who has trained for and accomplished a marathon knows that running 26.2 miles isn’t about speed, it’s about endurance and perserverence. I have run 4 half marathons in about 2:15 and am hoping to run the marathon under 4:45, but if I falter and run it in 5+ so be it.

  13. Brianne says:

Yeah, why are people so quick to critisize her running a marathon. I hate to burst anybodys bubble, but there are no such things as origional thoughts anymore, it has ALL been done. Just because others in hollywood have done it does not make it some terrible thing to do, its a wonderful challenge that takes alot of dedication. Go Jennifer, and good luck to Jennifer’s knees!

out with the rehab in with the marathon. I guess marathon is the new black.

  15. Anony:) says:

You are right, Ms Lopez competed in a triathlon (sprint distance) which is still an accomplishment if you’ve never done one before. However endurance wise it has nothing on a marathon.
