Just kidding!!!! Avril Lavigne's style is such an obviously personal thing. And while some people may not like it, she's certainly found her niche on the red carpet. Maybe this is her way of staying young in the crazy music industry.
These photos of Avril and Spike Lee are actually from an event last night celebrating the release of a film called Humanity, made by normal people using mobile devices. Spike directed, of course!

While I applaud her for having her own sense of style and the confidence to pull it off, she's 23 and a wife. Can't she try to update the style so she doesn't look like a child? Look at her hoodie! It's got cat ears on it! After 15 I believe that is unacceptable.

i actually think that she has changed her style quite a bit. all the blond hair, dresses and sexyness stuff doesn't work very well for her in my opinion. i think she was super cute and cool in the beginning of her career, with the dark blond, middle part and the tank-top-and-tie look. but thats just my opinion

Ugh, the animal print hoodies suck. Sometimes she wears really cute things (especially jeans) and I expected to see stuff like that in her clothing line. But no. But at least she does wear her own clothes.

I guess it might have been cute when she was 16, but she's 23 now. For awhile there she was dressing different and evolving and looking way better, now she's gone right back to it. You can have your own "alternative" style and still look your age. This outfit just immediately makes her appear immature. She's not an ugly girl, she really could easily look amazing if she wanted. I guess this is what sells her records to 12 year olds though.
