Madonna And Guy Ritchie Divorcing: For Real This Time!

All the rumors were true. Madonna and Guy Ritchie really are divorcing after all. Her rep just released a statement.
Madonna's spokeswoman says the singer and Guy Ritchie are divorcing after 7 1/2 years together.
In a statement co-signed by Ritchie's representative and e-mailed to The Associated Press, Liz Rosenberg says the couple had not agreed to a settlement yet
I can't believe this!!! How sad for Madonna and Guy to have put so much time into a marriage and not be able to work things out. But honestly, as usual, where there's smoke there's fire. What I am wondering is...how in the world did The Sun of all sources know this?!? I guess this ups their cred a little bit...

"Guy is not involved in this equation," the insider tells Usmagazine.com. "With or without A-Rod, Madonna and Guy haven't been 'together' for over a year - they have been privately separated. Madonna, however, wanted to finish her world tour before divorcing."
"A-Rod and Madonna are more involved than ever. Alex has really missed spending time with Madonna. However, he understands the position Madonna's in."

Personally, I think they have been having trouble for at least a year. I think they were both were done with the charade of the last several months and wanted to get on with their lives.

They have been together for over 10 years so that is quite some time. Whatever maybe now they will both be happy, I was getting sick of seeing them miserable together all the time.

No surprise. She did say in an interview that she got married for all the wrong reasons. Though, every marriage that ends is very said!!! Most people don't make it past 2 years it seems. Marriage is work and hopefully mine will keep on trucking past 10 years.... I'm at 4 years myself and hoping for more!!!

Someone on Howard Stern had said they saw A-rod and one of Madonna's best friends together recently, that made me think the romance was still going on. Oh well, hope the kids are okay through all this.
I just adore Guy, I think he is brilliant.
Is something wrong with A-Rod's brain?! For one thing, why would a hunk like him even be attracted to her? And for another, does he not see what a control freak she is, and how she doesn't even seem human? The saddest thing about this is how she just had to adopt a child because it was the hot thing to do for celebrities. She didn't care about bringing him into a broken home and all the weirdness that is her life. Money does NOT make a good parent.
Doesn't her song "Miles Away" indicate that thy are better when they are apart? Maybe they're just friends now and have worked things out and are finally going public with it. With that said I hope Guy gets a boatload.
Had to finalize the adoption before they could blow the kids out of the water with a divorce. It's been over for a long while. I believe whatever Madonna wants Madonna gets and who cares who gets in the way. I feel for the kids.

why a-rod?! why???!!! madonna?! are you serious?! i can prove to you that i am the biggest yankees fan ever. really, i can. so, of course, i love love love alex. but i dont understand why he would even be attracted to her?! he has everything he could ask for: money, an awesome career, famous, and he had a wonderful family with a good wife & beautiful little girls. and he's going to throw away his family for THIS WOMAN?! i mean, come on. this is exactly why derek jeter is my #1, above everyone and everything else (celebrity/sports star). i love you a-rod, but get your head straight and get away from this disgusting woman.
i can't believe these two cheating liars. i hope madonna gets everything she deserves. she should not have started another relationship until her marriage was officially over. if you are really trying to work things out with your partner then how is having ass on the side help. this seems like the most self-centered woman on the face of the earth. and the fact that she wanted to wait and anounce the divorce after her tour just proves that, but she will soon find out what it is like to be the girlfriend/wife of an athlete.

more people seem upset that arod went for her, but for me it is the opposite. Yes Madge is a little nuts, but she has been had more attention directed toward her sexiness in her life than the sum total of amount of sexual attention that all of the women of the entire populations of some small countries get. Even though she is aging, she still is sexy to me. But arod? He seems nice enough, and talented, sure. But I'm not sure he has enough thoughtfulness, creativity, or charisma for the material girl. I think he's a waste of time for her. He'll eat up anything she says because I think he's whipped, but she is going to get bored with him in a new york minute. She needs someone who is funny and energetic yet grounded. I think that ritchie didn't have enough energy for her. She needs a lot of stimulation because she's a smart bird. I think she wanted it to work because he's great on paper, and a nice "guy" too. This guy seems like a less cerebral version of the same. Also, I'm just sad for her. She has tried so hard for growth, and it seems to me that in pursuit of it, she may have sacrificed the very thing she seeks: love. This kaballah stuff seems to have had an initial positive influence on her - it helped to center her and get her a bit away from her attention seeking behaviors. But when she took it to the point of identifying with it, and subjecting her husband to it - I don't know... It seems like she drank too much of the kool-aid instead of taking a little exploration into mysticism. And I bet those people at the kaballah center are exploiting her vulnerability for her money and for attention. I hope she realizes the error of trying to follow any path to "salvation", and doesn't forget the value of what she while lost in the pursuit if some invented ideal. She gave me so much happiness with her personality and playfulness in my youth, I hope she can overcome her insecurities and her desire to be right and find comfort instead of seeking Comfort.
