This is why celebrities have to be so careful about who they let into their lives. There is just too much temptation for the average person to sell out. After the story about Casey Aldridge cheating on Jamie Lynn Spears broke, Ok Magazine called him for a statement. He said he would talk...for a price. For just a cool $250,000 dollars Casey gave the rag the exclusive.
Here's my question -- is this magazine really going to sell so many copies that the 250k was worth it?!?
Probably not. You can get most information off the internet for free anyway. I think its a good way for these magazines to go bankrupt. Especially in this economy. I'm sure buying magazines would one of the top things people would cut out of their budget

It's not so much the number of buys, but the number of adverts a magazine can sell. If you tell your clients you have an exclusive interview with so-and-so, they're more likely to buy ad space.
Scary how much she looks like her older sister....
is this casey's grandmother on the cover??
Well, he's got to support his baby mama and baby somehow....

lol! exactly what i was thinking!!!
Exactly!!! I have zero interest in their story, especially from a guy who I don't believe a word he says. That particular cover won't be sucking me in and taking $3.95 out of my wallet.

Vera this is old news. It's last week's cover and a bunch of other blogs already talked about this. The person who struck the deal was Jamie Lynn's agent or manager. Obviously the Spears knew about this interview and probably insisted Casey do it to stop the bad press. Obviously it wasn't done behind their backs. Also it's really tacky to criticize Casey for doing an interview for money when the Spears family (Jamie Lynn, Lynn, and Britney) do the same thing.
They can buy all the ad space they want, but if no one is buying the magazines they aren't selling their product to the intended customer.
