Katherine Heigl Adopting From China

Looks like Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley are ready for a new baby. Rumor has it that the couple is planning to adopt a child from China. Why China you ask? Katherine’s older sister, Meg was adopted from the country and perhaps she wants to replicate the same formula in her home.

“They’ve chosen an adoption agency and have started filling out the necessary paperwork. They’ve finally decided adoption is the best option for them right now.Katherine’s got several movie projects in the pipeline and a pregnancy would bring her career to a halt for a while.”

This comes from the National Enquirer. But you know what… if The Sun had the scoop on Madonna’s divorce, I’m not letting any rumor slip through my fingers anymore!

i seriously cannot rag on anybody that’s willing to adopt a child.

I’ve always liked her (for the most part) and I’m glad her and her husband are adopting. There may be a fertility issue there, but we don’t know. Just let them have their family and be happy. BUT I do agree that this “source” should’ve left out the part about not wanting to halt her career.

Who writes these blogs? Obviously they don’t do the research, or they think all Asian people look alike because her sister is KOREAN. She is adopting a KOREAN baby, not Chinese. Get it straight stupid. Ignorance…..

Where did you get your information? She is not adopting from China and her sister is NOT from China. She is adopting from Korea because her sister/best friend is from KOREA.

    Well that’s nice. I still think she’s a bit of a bit%$ tho.

I am glad that she is adopting, but she should leave out the fact that “pregnancy would mess up her career”.

i am ALL for adoption, but it just kills me when these celebs put their careers before getting pregnant. i know people have different priorities, but what makes her think her career is so hot anyway. she doesnt seem to be particularly well liked overall, so i think she could disappear for a year & have a baby & no one would miss her. she is too old to be the next big thing anyway.

People always want to adopt asian babies!!!WTF .

How about helping out kids here in your own freaking country. Jesus!

  10. Anonymous772 says:

“replicate the same formula”???? what an odd way to talk about adoption.

  11. Anonymous says:

whatever. there are enough children in this country. but of course, to be considered a saint, these Hollywood whores must start spinning their PR machines and start adopting minorities.

Adopting has nothing to do with becoming a “saint.” People adopt children for many reasons and just because they are celebrities doesn’t make their reason for adopting any less genuine and loving as other couples who aren’t in the spotlight.

And according to you adopting a child is overcrowding the country more than couples who have biological children or do you wish for everyone to stop having babies in this country period?

    Ignorance is a terrible thing.

are chinese babies the new black?

Ugh! I hate it when people are always ragging on foreign adoption. It is a lot harder to adopt in the US than it is to adopt from China. My older brother is adopted from Mexico which has some of the most lax restrictions. I think foreign adoption is a beautiful thing, and this actually makes me like her more. They might also be having infertility issues where adoption is the best way to have a child. And sometimes after the adopted baby comes home, you get a surprise, like my parents did with me, because conceiving is easier when you don’t have it on your mind.
