Ben Affleck And Jennifer Garner Pick Up Violet

Normally just Jennifer Garner is seen dropping off Violet at school, but today she and Ben Affleck were both spotted by the paparazzi. I always wonder, does Jen take on a primary role in parenting because Ben is off filming? Do they switch on and off, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie do where only one parent works at a time? Or is Ben really just as involved with Violet's life but more stealth with the paparazzi? Who knows what goes on behind closed doors!

I don't know, but I feel so cheated that Ben didn't flip us off this time. At least he gave us a scowl. That's worth something. Violet is probably my fave celeb kid. She is just so cute. She nevers seems at all fazed by all of the attention. She obviously takes after her mom and not her dad.

It probably depends on who is doing what that day & at that time. My hubby & I are always switching up on who d/o or p/u the kids any given day. The fact that we have 3 schools to go to is part of it... :) Violet is adorable! I can't wait to "meet" Baby Affleck #2!

Violet has the most precious smile! She gets prettier by the day. Yes, that's quite a scowl Ben is giving......is he not used to the attention yet? I totally understand that he likes privacy, but geez. He gets to drive a Lexus and I don't. ;-)
Ben is such a gentleman waiting in the car while his 8 months pregnant wife picks up and carries their heavy child and her school bag. Jen Garner deserves someone like Ben Affleck, karma is a bitch.

i have always had the biggest crush on Ben...since the Armegeddon, Pearl Harbor days. I like him even more after he settled down and became a good husband and dad. For a minute I thought he was going down the john mayer path.
Jennifer Garner is becoming like all the others.. She used to be such a sweet girl and now she has gone Hollywood... I know it must be crazy to be followed all of the time ...Maybe they should leave her alone and I am sure she would find the paps when she wanted to.. Before Ben Affleck , I really don't remember her being in the spotlight or anyone really cared what she did..

I really love them as a couple/family. They seem happy to me and "relatively" normal, whatever normal is!
Ummm...I wasn't aware that jenn even worked that much anymore. Wasn't the last movie she was in "Catch and Release" and that was forever ago.
Can someone please explain to me why these two (who claim to want privacy for their child) are photographed so often with her when other, FAR MORE FAMOUS celebs manage to avoid the paps? You don't see Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, or hell, even Brad and Angie getting photographed multiple times a week! These two hypocrites are disgusting for using their child to get some media attention (and try to clean up their images).
This is a response for Claire34. My opinion is, this couple has the papz camped out in front of their home often. The papz is aware of the daily routine and captures them at these moments in time. Obviously, Jen and Ben are not fond of the attention. My only recommendation is they move to a different location within S Cal, move out of state, or country. I'm sure once they have another addition to the familia, they will think about making life more simplified without the papz in their faces day in and out. Just my thoughts.

See, I don't buy this whole "the paps camp out in front of their house" excuse, because that doesn't explain why the paps DON'T camp out in front of the houses of more famous celebs. I could understand being photographed occasionally, but pics come out of them most days of the week! The sheer number of pics could only be the result of PR tipping off the paps.
And I do think Jennifer Garner is probably more responsible for this than Ben. It's obviously her PR (and former co-stars) who give interviews to People.com talking about what a "perfect mother" she is. That wouldn't happen without her blessing. And you see pap pics of her alone.
Ben, who's the bigger star of the two, manages to avoid being photographed far more often than Jennifer. After the media attention went bad with him, he learned his lesson. Somewhat.
Claire34, like your name by the way. Perhaps, you are right. My belief is to give the benefit of the doubt before making any strong opinions on any matter. Jen does have many,many, photos taken of her with Violet often. It is a bit ridiculous how the little girl is constantly captured in every photo op. Violet does appear to be a happy girl by the smile she displays often. So that is good.
All I do know is, Ben has made mention in many interviews, journalism questions, and so forth that he does not embrace the media at all. He seems to be a very private guy and seems to be pushed into this force again unwillingly. Ben can always come over to my private zone and hang out and hide anytime. j/k I truly feel for this family as it seems they are torn in such a way that I really can not put my finger on. They do not walk around together in a comfortable fashion with or without the papz. Body language and facial expressions displays some hint of truth behind it.
Wish them much happiness and health to their new addition to the familia.
I'm taking a ride amongst the clouds today. Benny boy smiled and I caught it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Smiles do wonders and especially coming from Benny boy. It does not matter if it was meant for me or not, it still is a wonderful sight to see.

No Shammy, Jennifer Garner is a diva and attention-mongerer who, since her film career is an epic fail, now tries to present an image of herself as a great mother for all the women's magazines. I don't think there is any love between Jennifer and Ben at this point but Ben is trying to do the right thing and stick it out. I'm not at all a Ben Affleck fan but that's how it looks to me. He tries to raise the kid who Jennifer Garner has set against him -- look at Violet's face here -- and then blows off steam by drinking and gambling... Like many dads I'm sure.

I hope they stay together just for the kiddies sake but honestly...I'm going to have to agree with Murphy here. I'm just not feeling the love between these two. I guess all that hero worship gets tired after a while....
Jennifer actually filmed two movies early this year. She worked on Juno and The Kingdom since Catch & Release. I think they are very happy together they just don't ham it up (engaging it phony PDA) for the paps like a lot of other couples. They try to protect their baby from the tabloids while trying to give her a normal life. Jen has always had her share of media attention but when she & Ben hooked up, it reached epic proportions. Gossip rags expected to see the same old media circus that made up the "Bennifer" Fiasco (J Lo and Ben) To this day, the media still don't get that they just want to be left alone when they are not working.
I hope they stay together for the long haul. They make a great couple.

I feel a lot of love in this family. As far as attention, publicity seekers go, they are not in the same attention **oring league as Tom and Katie, Gwen and Gavin or your Brangelina (biggest ones of all). They are never dressed to the nines, posing with PDA for the masses for "perfect" pictures like those couples. As far as seeing them all the time, yes, the paps have discovered where they drop off their daughter everyday and so are there because their pictures, sorry for you, Claire34, sell. When Maddox was going to preschool in NYC & where she filmed Wanted last year we were given pictures EVERY DAY. Now they live hidden away but still *hore their children out by selling private family photos to a national magazine. All in the name of trying to get Oscar nominations. No, the Afflecks just arent in that league.
BTW Claire, Julia Roberts and B&A dont live in LA and Reese only has her kids half the time so you cant compare them.
just a sidebar: i'd forgotten that ben affleck and jennifer garner were in pearl harbor together. too bad they didn't just get together back then and save their exs some heartache!
