Tori Spelling Selling Her New House For $2.4 Million
Don't tell me the house Tori Spelling is selling is the same house that she just completely renovated and dumped a ton of money into? I am SHOCKED that she would get rid of it so quickly. Why the sudden change of heart?
According to the LA Times, Tori and Dean McDermott have placed their 3,300 square foot house up for sale.
Spelling has listed her Westwood home at $2,395,000. It has five bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms in about 3,300 square feet. The home has French doors off the main rooms that lead to a manicured lawn, an outdoor dining area with a built-in barbecue and a solar-powered saltwater pool with a Baja shelf and spa. The master suite has high ceilings, two oversized custom closets and city views.
There is a custom-designed fireplace in the living room, a formal dining room and a media room. The recently upgraded kitchen has imported marble countertops and top-of-the-line appliances. The house has a state-of-the-art sound system and hardwood floors.
Sounds just like my house! Meaning, I too have bathrooms and bedrooms!
So what do you think? Over their heads with the upkeep and mortgage? Or looking for a smaller abode?
maybe they're upgrading....hope so...
I don't think they're downsizing because I watch the show and remember them saying they need at least 5 bedrooms - for them, their son, their daughter and dean's son from his first marriage. I really hope it's not money problems! I love T&D!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Tori just got finicky or something and decided she wants something else :-D

The house didn't seem too big for a family, maybe they want something bigger or somewhere else. It looked like a nice upper middle class neighborhood and home. They did do a lot of renovating on the house in addition to buying new furnishings. I saw the show while they were doing the renovations, I didn't see it finished. I think the last show I saw, she was deciding on patio furniture and fabric for the living room. Maybe they overspent trying to look like they have money when they really don't. I know if I had 50 million dollars laying around like Candy does, I would be sharing it with my kids. But that's me.

LOL...I guess the roosters have come home to roost. Tori and Dean are hitting hard times, with the financial crisis everyone is facing. Tori and Dean don't have the money her mother has. I guess Dean and Tori are not bringing in the money to keep such a home; the mortgage alone must be huge. What goes around comes around bitch...

I'm going to guess they are in over their heads. And I'd think they put more than $200k into renovations. Tori has very unique tastes, so I'm wondering if they'll be able to get $2.4 mil. They paid about $2.2, I think.
I could live happily on $900k. Sure, I'd have to have some sort of job, but I don't need a fancy pants LA house. And in this market, there are deals to be had everywhere!

I think it's disgusting that her mom doesn't share some of the wealth with her kids. I guess she does her son, because she was never jealous of him. But what did Tori ever do wrong but have her Dad's love? Last time I checked, your parents should love you unconditionally. No wonder she was so close to her father. At least he loved her. Her mother should be ashamed of herself. As far as I'm concerned, Candy Spelling is a self-absorbed, rotten mother. It's sickening.

maybe it's for the next season of their reality show...hasn't that been like the whole theme...first the bed & breakfast...then the new house...now maybe they need a bigger house...just supposing...
I don't think they payed for a fraction of those renovations on the house from season 2. I think they got all kinds of perks and freebees in exchange for publicity on the show. Their poor pitiful destitute ways is all an act. This season is going to end with some dramatic cliff hanger, will they or won't make some life and death decision involving the new home...just like they couldn't bring the baby home from the hospital until they got a new house and then proceeded to remodel the whole thing three weeks before the baby came. It's all an act.
If I were Candy, I would give nothing after watching Tori trash her mom every week on the show.

From what my Realtor friend in LA says, they have been looking in gated communities. Once this house was on the show, too many people found out the address and there is no privacy nor protection. If you want to see the listing go here:

I like Tori and Dean, so I hope this sell is for the show or privacy. Tori is smart, she wouldn't put all her money into a home.
Maybe if her loser husband stopped soaking up her money and went out and found a real job, they could buy a house and keep it.
I agree that Dean should step up a lot more, but if she loves him I guess it's her business and he seems to make her happy. Whether I'd put up with it is a different story!
