Brooke Shields Hosts Tupperware Party In NYC

Brooke Shields Hosts Tupperware Party In NYC

Last weekend, I was lucky enough to get an invite to a Tupperware party hosted by Brooke Shields. The event took place in The House and all proceeds were donated to the Boys and Girls Club of America. 100% of sales!!

Brooke's first Tupperware Tea Party included several of her celebrity friends including her Lipstick Jungle co-stars, Kim Raver and Paul Blackthorne. Also in attendance were Rosie Perez and Jane Krakowski. We even got a sneak peek at Brooke's new line, Radiance which will debut in January.

I have two gift bags from this party to give away and you will NOT be disappointed! The lotions alone are to DIE for. I can't stop putting mine on! (Contest coming up very soon  - stay tuned before noon)

Now onto the insider scoop.

When Brooke first arrived, Tupperware gifted her with a "bag" made out of Swarovski crystals and a Tupperware box for her daughters. She was really excited to receive it. You can see a picture of it in the thumbnails below.

Rosie Perez and I chatted a bit about red meat. I can't tell you how we got on the subject, but it turns out the actress doesn't eat any because of a childhood experience she had that traumatized her.

When she was young, her family couldn't afford to purchase red meat. So, they lived on chicken and pork. When she was about 7, a friend's family offered her a steak for the first time and she started to cry because she thought her chicken had gone bad and they were trying to make her eat decayed meat. She ran home to tell her mother who then explained what it was. Rosie was utterly embarrassed and was then picked on for many years over the event. Eventually, she got enough courage up to try a hamburger and threw up immediately. That is when she decided to never eat meat again.

Paul Blackthorne was my new best friend. Not because he is devilishly handsome, but because he was so FUNNY! We sarcastically went back and forth the entire day and I really enjoyed his company. I wish him much success from and after Lipstick Jungle. He plays Brooke's husband for those who don't watch the show.

Kim Raver actually made me a little star struck. 24 is one of my most favorite shows - but no pictures were allowed with her so I couldn't snag one. I was REALLY upset about that one. But I wanted to respect the "rules" and let it go.

Brooke was a busy bee taking pictures and doing interview the entire time. She was running up and down the stairs going wherever Tupperware needed her to smiling all along. Whenever she had a moment, she would huddle up with Kim and Jane to laugh and catch up.

Lindsay Price was supposed to attend, but she fell ill that morning.

Jane Krakowski was as fun in person as you would think she was. We spoke only for a few moments while we were getting our picture taken, but she really was as sweet and genuine as ever. And petite! Did I mention petite?

And for all of you tea lovers out there (yes, I'm right there with you), Tupperware has just launched a new line of tea pots and tea flavors for purchase. They had them brewed at the event and I think I drank about 6 glasses of the iced one. So YUMMY! This isn't your mother's Tupperware anymore!

And while I have your attention, I just have to say that the CEO of Tupperware and his wife are two amazing individuals. Rick and Susan Goings are really attempting to make a difference in today's world and leave their positive mark on it all. It is really about bringing confidence and stability to women around the world for them - not the bottom line. IT is always refreshing and inspirational to walk away from an event after spending time with these two. If they weren't jet setting around the world spreading the Tupperware message, I would force them to have dinner with my husband and me! :)

Sounds like it was a fun event. When I think about Jane Krakowski I always think about her role in the movie "Go". That movie is great and she was so random in it selling "confederated products". She's hilarious. On another note: Vera, I thought Kim Raver was you in that main photo for a sec.

The new Brooke Shields Radiance line is avaiable RIGHT NOW to hostesses! Check out my website for more details.

Also - to the pregnant lotion obsessed gal - try coconut oil, I just gave birth to twins boys and only have 3 stretch marks. I read somewhere - If you wouldn't eat it, don't put it on your body.

It is true Brooke Shields was at a huge Tupperware event and launched her product right on stage in Orlando, Florida. I was there, she is so wonderful, and so is Tupperware, during this event she was stuck in an airport due to the problem with the weather and Tupperware sent a private Jet to pick her and her daughters up and get them to Orlando in time so she would not miss the event. She had breakfast with some of the Tupperware consultants that won a special challenge. I unfortunately did not make that challenge but I am sure the ladies that did had a wonderful time. I am from Canada and I have never seen so many people in one hotel conference room in all of my life, but we all (Canadians and Americans) gave Brooke a warm welcome when she came on stage. I love Lipstick Jungle and I was so excited to be even in that same room with her. I am so happy to be selling Tupperware and to be involved with this wonderful company for the past 8 + years. While on this trip to Orlando, I also met Kris Anderson and he is my idol, I saw him on Regis and Kelly one time when it comes to selling Tupperware he sold so much last year can you believe he sold over $250 000.00 its no lie, he was pretty amazing~and all dressed as a woman!!

I'm a Tupperware consultant and I love hearing stories about Brooke Shields and her involvment in Tupperware. If you watch Lipstick Jungle you will hear her mention Tupperware, which is great because our only actual advertising is product placement and word of mouth. Thank you for doing such a nice piece on Brooke's tea party. By the way, I would love to win the goodie bag, as I know Tupperware gives away great prizes and I am currently addicted to anything they make!

I sell Tupperware myself and am glad to see that you posted the party with Brooke Shields. The Radiance collection is a beautiful collection that was inspirated by Brooke herself. Tupperware has always been around for the last 65 years and now they are coming out with all kinds of different kinds of products.

jean b patterson jean b patterson said:

i also am a consultant with tupperware, and honestly, the orange color of the radiance collection has not been a big hit with my customers or myself for that matter. having such a beautiful woman to be a spokesperson will in itself add to the beauty of tupperware. i can't imagine anyone not having a piece of tupperware of somekind, even if it is only a citrus peeler! and if the lotion is a part of the product line called tupperliving, then i can agree with you on that. the products that are being marketed in other countries than canada and usa may be equally as satisfying. i would love to have the gift bag to see what the company has shared with you. jean b patterson. have you already given the gift to a lucky reader? jeanbpattersonsellstupperware@yahoo.com
