The Hulk Talks About Nick Hogan's Time In Prison

Hulk Hogan sat down with Michael You and opened up about his son Nick and his time in prison. When Yo asks how he dealt with the pressure of Nick being in jail and going through a divorce, Hogan says:

“You know I just had to regroup and you know just really rely on what was in my heart and what I believe in, ‘cause Nick is my son 24 hours a day whether he hits a homerun or whether he strikes out, he's still my son. You know Linda says because she was visiting in LA, she's not responsible in any way shape or form for what happened. Well that's not me.”

When asked what Nick learned from his incarceration, Hogan says:

“He was on a roll. He was a young professional driver, he had the show going, and it all got real busy and then I think when he went to jail, he got stripped of everything. He got stripped of clothes, of watches, he got stripped of his identity, and he found out what's important in life. He knows what's real, and what's not real. And even before he went in there he was accountable, and he was responsible. And I think that's what he found out in jail, the most important thing, he understands what is real in life. You know it's about helping people, being positive, moving forward. He was a good kid before, he's a great kid now. He's not the same man he was when he went in there.”

Being stripped of his watch must have been terrible! All jokes aside, I hope Nick is a changed person. That's the whole point of incarcination isn't it?

I have to say if I hadn't heard those recorded conversations of Nick in jail I would have believed everything he said. I hope that he does realize that he was wrong, but it doesn't seem likely.

That is EXACTLY how I feel, too. I think this whole family is so fake. :(

I agree. The Hogan family will always be tainted in my book because of those cruel tapes. When he says "he got stripped of everything" he's only focusing on material things. What about the victim who's now brain dead?

I guess Nick being stripped of his material things must be so devastating for him, his family. To be locked up in jail; to have your freedom taken away. I guess Nicks' pain and suffering doesn't compare to that paralyzed, young vet laying in a hospital bed. Yes, I guess there is no comparison; Nicks' pain is much worse.

I think that the point of incarceration is to remove dangerous people from society where they cannot do any more harm to innocent people. I hope he learned his lesson.

I know Nick is guilty of reckless driving but didn't the young guy know of the risks when he got in the car? It's sad that he is paralysed for life but i bet you no one held a gun on his head and forced him to get in the car...

are you kidding me?? are you familiar with the phrase "blaming the victim"??? this is like saying that a battered wife is responsible for being in an abusive marriage, or that a person who died of second hand smoke inhalation is responsible for going to a bar where people smoke! this is 100% Nick Hogan's fault, no doubt about it!

well hulk hogan used to be a hero of mine and now i think what a jerk!!!!!!!. Can i remind you that your son almost killed someone one i mean how can you look at your son and go ohhhhhhh i still think he is a merical ?????????? You son was speeding and he has no brians he is no hero and he should be stripped of more than what he had in prision what about the boy that almost died what about his family are you going to compensate them for their loss, or is it because you and lyndia are groveling over your houses that you could not be bothered to care about the greiving family ?????

Nick is guilty, he was stupid and wrong but he did not have malicious intentions. The other kid was also old enough to know a few things. . . and, was he buckled?

Anonymous Anonymous said:

No. . the other guy was not wearing his seatbelt.

I thought brooke only had a small music note tatoo behind her ear. In one of her episodes of Brooke Knows Best she got it and Hulk was all upset. She also called the ones that are across the lower back tramp stamps. I guess her and Lynda (her mom) are showing their true colors.
