Black women rocking black hairstyles are sexy as hell, and I’m a white chick. Every time I see Beyonce’s L’Oreal commercial, I laugh out loud. How a gal who never leaves her house without a wig can speak for a hair colour company is beyond me, and shows how stupid a) the ad companies are and b) the hair-colouring public is.

Didn’t she also do this back when she was preggo? She’s beautiful no matter what and this hairstyle looks fun & funky. However, I will always prefer her with super-short hair!

I love it. It’s very Jennifer Beales (sp?) in Flashdance. Not to mention i may have a slight bias considering it’s how I’m wearing my hair now. With that being said….bring on the ethnic based insults.

No no no. I actually love this hairstyle and I think it looks so super cute on some people. But Halle? It looks so funny on her! I don’t want my previous criticism to be viewed as an ethnic thing, by you or Halle! 
It looks great. I bet it looks great straightened too, below her shoulders. She is lucky to have folks to help her do her hair, and try new things. I bet low maintenance is much better for her some days now. I like it, it is a natural look for her.
It’s a little Angela Davis, but she can rock it pretty damn well.

Thanks for the clarification. I was really glad to check back today and see that everyone was able to limit their criticism to how the hair actually looked. I love these blogs and like to look at fashion and makeup on the stars and it just bothers me so much when people (on ALL sides of the color wheel) go off on racial tangents. Especially here where things are usually so positive. Let’s restrict all that nonsense to low-brow sites like Mediatakeout, the Superficial and…I don’t know say…Fox News.
