Dylan Lauren Celebrates The Re-launch Of Dylan’s Candy Bar

Last night, my husband and I attended a relaunch party for Dylan's Candy Bar on 3rd Avenue in the city. I took photos on the pink carpet for a while and then joined the rest of the crowd to enjoy the night's festivities.
I have to say this party was different from ones I've been to in the past. The crowd was very NY elite. Lots of suits and old money, business men and women and the occasional socialite. I typically get invited to very trendy gatherings and this had such a different vibe.
Have you been to a Dylan's Candy Bar ever? It is insane! You gain weight just by inhaling the air. It's so bad... but it's so good! They had treats everywhere for you to pick from. Candy apples, cotton candy machines, pretzel / marshmallow dipping station, rice krispy treats, cupcakes, cookie bar... yes I can go on forever.
I took a bite or two (of EVERYTHING) and went on my way. I had the opportunity to interview Elizabeth Berkley and will get that up as soon as I can. Her makeup was absolutely flawless and I couldn't resist finding out what cover up she uses!! Since Bill was right next to me, I snagged a shot with her. But I got a little crazy eye going on... so it's in the thumbnails instead of being the lead shot.
Also in attendance were Karen Duffy, Greg Lauren, Lauren Bush, Ivanka and Donald (Jr.) Trump.
Ivanka is beautiful!! As she walked people literally turned to watch her pass by. She didn't give anyone the chance to interview her as she just ran through the pink carpet to join her friends inside the party. Perhaps she couldn't resist the free treats either. :)
And PS - the creepy eye picture I have in the thumbnails belongs to Elizabeth. She has such beautiful eyes and one of them is two different colors. I couldn't help but notice while we spoke. I love finding rare things like this about people.

I *love* Dylan's Candy Bar! I write about it on my blog quite a bit as it's just a haven for chocolatey goodness! Whenever I'm in Manhattan, I always pop in. You can also order their product by mail order, or if you're in Canada, over the phone. They're always really friendly and their products rock! Love the candy/chocolate pillows! I have the Hershey Bar and Double Bubble gum. The party looks fantastic! Last I was there, they said they were putting in an ice cream bar. Wonder if they did? I think they get a lot of traffic that gets turned back from Serendipity down the street.losethatgirl blog

The woman who you said had perfect makeup looks like she's made of plastic. Her skin looks waxy.

I was thinking the same thing! Maybe in person she looks great, but in the pic she just looks like she's had too much work done.

I'd never heard of this company before I watched your vlog last night. Now I'm craving chocolate. LOL I love Karen Duffy! She's so adorable. I remember seeing her on a talk show discussing her disease. :(
Dylan's is AWESOME. The store is just so cool inside. My one peeve about this post is the picture of Lauren Bush with her "feed" bag. How can you champion world hunger, and then take part in soiree for the spoiled elite? She has always screamed hypocrite poser to me, and I hate that, because I want to admire her work.
I've never heard of any of this. I just want to say to Vera: you are always prettier than any of the celebrities you're standing next to.
Yikes....Elizabeth Berkley looks like a creepy mannequin.
Ivanka usually looks good, but in a first shot she looks like a turtle sticking her neck and head. I think her newly augmented breasts look hard and out of proportions. They make her look extra matronly.

the pic of just her eyeball is hilarious....(the colors of her eye are very pretty)...it's just that pic by itself...ha! i don't know why this is cracking me up...
I love Dylan's Candy Bar. I wouldn't have even gone in if it weren't for Serendipity's being booked down the street. It felt like I was a little kid again in Wonka's Factory. The whole place was decorated in candy when I went, even the floors!
