Fact Or Fiction: Victoria Beckham To Run The NY Marathon
In heels?!
Just kidding about the shoes - but a source told Britain’s Now magazine that Victoria Beckham wants to run the NY marathon.
"It was meant to be a big secret.
She’s been training for months with the main goal of running in the New York marathon. But, if she doesn’t feel ready, she’s planning to do the one in Los Angeles in February next year (09)."
So why this year? Victoria wants to get pregnant soon and having a child takes a toll on her body. So the Spice Girl wanted to attempt a run before giving her body over to the process.
Her husband David is helping her out with fitness tips as he is pretty knowledgeable in the field.
"She wants to get the run out of the way because once she gets pregnant it’ll be ages before she has the opportunity again."

Fiction I think. She isn't one to jump on bandwagons (Katie Holmes did this already so she wouldn't fuel the Katie copies Victoria/Victoria copies Katie fodder). Plus, she can't look polished when she's sweating her butt off.

The timing could be right. The marathon happens within days. It wouldn't interfere with any pregnancy plans, however, David's move to AC Milan in January sure would. David is planning on heading to Europe to play for one of Italy's biggest sides during the MLS off-season in an attempt to remain fit for any England international call ups. Posh reportedly isn't following David over - she plans to remain in LA to keep the kiddies in school uninterrupted. The plan is to see each other every two weeks or so.
Footballers are forbidden from having sex the night before a match so their window of opportunity while David is abroad is very small.

So Fictional...If she decides to run I will go out there in the cold & wait until she crosses the finish line just because I want to see it with my own eyes.
...and I will be following behind her every step of the marathon just so I can watch her collapse to the ground like only a true anorexic person can.

I can see her doing this, why not? As for "Footballers are forbidden from having sex the night before a match" ... not all footballers actually, it really depends on which club or country you play for and also if it is a very important match.
