Tori Spelling Compares Herself To Jessica Alba
UGH. I cannot even imagine how hard it would be to live in the spotlight, especially as a woman in Hollywood expected to magically drop all the pregnancy weight, literally, overnight. Tori Spelling is opening up about the pressure. She says her worst moments came when she compared herself to Jessica Alba.
“I would look at pictures of myself and compare them to Jessica Alba, who had her baby two days before me. I’d see photos of her two months after and go, ‘Look at her!’ ”
But, Tori has her whole family eating right and that's helped.
“The best way to lose weight is to make it a family affair. It has changed my life. I’m embracing the fact that it’s a
struggle for me to drop the pounds,” Tori reveals. “It’s easier now
because I’m not as focused on it.”
She does have some good advice for new moms.
"Take your time. If you get obsessed, you’ll miss out on great moments with your children.”
I love Tori's interviews, they're always candid and entertaining. And she's so right. Comparing yourself to Jessica Alba could get even some of the most confident women down.

Tori, Jessica Alba is a naturally beautiful woman, you on the other hand are hideous. Tori should compare herself to Jabba The Hut instead, it would make her feel better.

She's one of my least favorite celebs but I admit she's in great shape. I'm 10 years post-baby and dont' look that good. LOL ;-)

I'm not a big fan of Tori's either, but you have to admit that is a problem most women have - comparing ourselves to others. It's not a good thing, but it's almost instinctual, isn't it?
She's not pretty but I'm sure she laughs all the way to the bank!

She's a butterface. I think she's always had a nice body but is not a pretty woman at all.
Perhaps Tori should have thought twice about scheduling a c-section for her child's birth instead of giving birth naturally. Alba didn't have a scheduled c-section and breastfed, surprise - it was easier for her to lose the weight.

Jessica Alba had lap band surgery!
Jessica only had one baby and works out like crazy. She comes from a family of big girls so her body is due to hard work. Tori should not compare herself due to just having her 2nd child, not 1st.
Jessica Alba is a known anorexic. She didn't eat for a week during Dark Angel and had to be hospitalized when her organs began to shut down.
Her excuse?
"OMG I just happened to forget to eat for a few days," like everyone does that.
Losing weight after a birth is hard, and probably tougher for hollywood celebs, since they are always on the spotlight. But I think she's doing great.
Tori had a c-section with her first like Gwen so it is safer to have anothe ryou take the chance of uterine rupture so that is why she didn't try natural. Everyone knows giving birth naturally is easier to recover from than a c-section.
