Courtney Cox has landed the lead role in a new comedy series from the creators of Scrubs. I guess since their entire MAIN cast has abandoned ship, the group decided to focus their attention on a new venture.
I am so excited!
Scrubs is awesome and Courtney was fabulous as Monica – so this might be the perfect match. The show is about a middle-aged woman who is the mother of a teenager in Cougar Town.
Cox was chosen for the role because she is "comedically fearless", according to Bill Lawrence, who produced the medical comedy.
"Forty-year-old women on TV are so beautiful and perfect and wrinkle-free. People don’t do the reality of it, and there is a real comedy area about a woman who is talking about Botox, about having sex with the lights on and how her body is changing."
Production is slated to begin in January (09), with the show due to launch later in the year.

I’ve always wanted to make love to Courtney’s sweet rectum. It’s a dream of mine to pump my man cream up her colon.
I can’t believe people still care about this woman. If she dropped off of the face of the earth I really don’t think I’d care… She’s lucky she did Friends or she’d be broke.
I think you’re on the wrong site. This is not Perez Hilton’s site.
she is so beautiful, and was so funny as monica in friends. i hope the new show goes well.
She’s great and fun to watch. Congrats.losethatgirl blog
Wow, can’t wait to find out more about that new sitcom. And I totally agree with Bill Lawrence.
I’m excited, too!
and I wanna watch…….. Friends the movie! Please!!
I am excited about this – I loved her show Dirt, even though it was cancelled:( She is a great actress! Cant wait!
Umm…..she doesn’t like botox???
i could not make sense out of the bill lawrence quote. what language was he speaking?
courtney is gorgeous. love her.
I’m still bummed that Dirt was cancelled! But she’s a great actress so I would definitely watch this. We need more sitcoms!
It’s an interesting idea but there were only so many jokes they could do with Jordan on Scrubs before it got annoying, and Courtney Cox is only so good as her supporting cast.
He should have cast someone like Alyssa Milano or Rachel Bilson, or even Holly Marie Combs or Charisma Carpenter.
