22 Year Old Auctions Off Virginity For Millions
Things like this just make me so sick! I don't know what's worse. The fact that a 22 year old is auctioning off her virginity or the fact that over 5,000 men have bid on it.
Natalie Dylan, the 22-year-old college graduate who is auctioning off her virginity, spoke for the first time on camera about her decision with “The Tyra Banks Show.”
Dylan says she has received bids ranging between $1 million and $3.8 million from more than 5,000 men, including bids from a rock star and a famous actor.
Dylan tells “The Tyra Banks Show” how she came to the decision to auction off her virginity.
“We wanted to study the dichotomous nature between virginity and prostitution. There’s really been so few case studies of it…I stumbled upon this article of a Peruvian woman who wanted to sell her virginity and she was offered and exorbitant amount of cash...$1.5 million.
Dylan, who wants to pursue a career in sex therapy says she’s not treating this like a regular auction.
“It’s not like an eBay auction…I don’t have to take the highest bidder. I’m taking time to get to know the guys. We contact each other back and forth.”

She also thinks people have a distorted view of virginity.
“I think people misconstrue virginity with being prudes. I’m definitely not; I’m very open-minded to what they want to do…I think this is about being pro-choice with your body.”
And what about her willingness to engage in different positions?
“I’m selling my virginity, it’s a one time thing and I’m definitely willing to work with them.”
“I completely plan on following through with this act.”
I'm sorry. This is just too much for me. While it does somewhat remind me of "Memoirs of a Geisha", my all time favorite book, I completely disagree with this notion.

well, its hers to auction off, i guess she isnt very romantic...clearly she is doing it for the money, no matter how scientific she tries to make it sound. its prostitution whether she is a virgin or not, she is selling her body for money, lots of money from what it sounds like...what about the men bidding on this? its not putting men in a favorable light, thats for sure.

Please...disgusted for what? Do you know how many women sleep around and all they get from it is the clap or an unwanted pregnancy. The man is gone before she can pull her panties up. It's those women that disgust me more than this girl. This girl is the symbol of what sex is today to men and women.....nothing...i.e. "casual".

I would never do this but, I actually give her a little credit. Think of all of girls who have just given their virginity away to any random guy (or it taken). For her to be 22 and still be a virgin is a feat in its self. I think the teenage pregnancy rates and number of STD cases would be substantially lower if more girls held this high of standard of who to have sex with. She said her self that she is getting to know the gents first. It is not as if it will just be a wham bam thank you mam. and lets not forget.... money talks. I will be curious to know what percentage Uncle Sam is going to take of her pot (or even if she has thought of that part yet).
Haha being 22 and a virgin is no feat. It's called self-control and people do it every day.

Well...I "auctioned" off my virginity for a diamond engagement ring and a big wedding which was lots less than a million. I now have four kids and barely make ends meet since our divorce. I hope she makes a load of cash and invests wisely and really gets to know the guy who's payin' up!! Funny how moral everyone suddenly gets with a new spin on what happens all the time....she's actually pretty smart. It's no different than the massive dowries some women wait for from families in foreign countries in arranged marriages, and I'd rather have my daughters do THIS than what I see all their skanky friends do at your average bush party on a weekend for a smoke and a mickey :S It is about her choice, her body, her control over it, financial security, doing a study and getting some publicity in the end. ....? so what? This is more interesting than Spencer and Heidi anyday. :D

I gave mine up for free to my high school boyfriend. Who knew? I am not saying I am in favor of this kind of behavior, but what kind of men bid on taking someone's virginity? And if this auction is done over the internet, how does she know everyone is who they say they are? I just find that aspect of it creepy.

All I can say is that ever since we walked this earth men have been after us anyway they can get us. If women choose to sleep with someone for their money its their choice. If it weren't for men willing to pay, then women wouldn't be selling their bodies for MONEY. Look at the men willing to pay before you start judging the women. Hey if this is what she wants to do and make a load of money off of it, then hey that is all up to her. I'm not the one going to be sleeping with however is willing to pay top dollar, she is. At the end she will be the one with HIS money and being financially secure for awhile. Her choice her body.
I'd be very interested in knowing who these celebrities that have bid are. If they are as famous as she says, I'm sure they have no problem taking some stupid girls virginity so why pay for it and risk the public finding out?

(gag) She definitely has lost her sanity, yet virginity even though it's "for research's sake". Sounds more like she's 'researching' of how to satisfy herself sexually rather than gaining knowledge from the research. Somebody help the poor soul, she's so twisted!
I'm more worried about the precedent this will set for young women who are virgins....but then again, it's their choice, as someone above said. That old man is gross but hey, once again, if she's okay with it then whatever.

I find all the broohaha over this mildly amusing. Women have sold themselves off for years - whether it be through marriage (arranged or not), giving the cow away with the milk by living with men before marriage ...need I go on? I am not sure why she would make this public but she is within her rights to do as she pleases with her body (which apparently is a huge issue within the presidential election isn't it? to maintain the right to do with our bodies as we say?). Romance? mmm well I dare say there are many young women out there who did not have a romantic "deflowering" and would if they could, turn back the pages of time. Bottom line - it's her body and her life.
Hasn't even had sex yet and she's already a wh*re. Sad.
