Miley Cyrus & Boyfriend Justin Shopping

15 year old (16 on the 23rd) Miley Cyrus was photographed spending the day shopping with 20 year old boyfriend Justin Gaston yesterday in Los Angeles. I know that Miley's dad Billy Ray has spoken out about what a great guy Justin is, but I don't buy the whole "age is just a number" when you are that young.
Would you let your 15yr old date a 20 yr old? When I was 15, I dated an 18 year old for four years and it was a big difference looking back on it.
The only thing Miley has going for her in this equation is the fact that the industry truly does age a person. She's had more life experiences than 99% of children in her age group.

She has seen a lot for someone her age. My only concer would be of people using her. I don't see a problem...because if you try and forbid her to see him it will only create more problems.

Usually girls are more mature than boys at that age.. but still, he looks a lot older than 20 and I'm not so sure if I would let my daughter date someone in his 20s when she's only 15 herself, no matter how experienced the industry has made her.

When I was 16, I dated a 20 year-old (well, 19 who turned 20). Dating at that time consisted mainly of hanging out at my house with my parents at home, so it wasn't that big of a deal. You aren't seeing them grope each other all of the time, so I don't see why people are making so much out of it. I don't even think there are photos of them holding hands! When you're a teenager, you don't necessarily have a sexual relationship with every guy you date.

I dated an 18-year-old when I was 14, and kept it a secret from my folks because I knew they'd kill me AND him! (Even though all we ever did was kiss).

Well, when I was 15 I dated a MUCH older man (i'm not even saying his age here or someone will have a heart attack) and I don't regret it. It depends SO MUCH from girl to girl. And Miley must be anything but innocent.
If I was the 20 year old guy, I'd be embarrassed dating a 15 year old kid!!! He is taking advantage of her and the whole Cyrus family are so clueless!! Idiots family.
when i was 16 i was dating a 21 year old.. i just seemed to better connect with guys that were older than the immature people i was in school with.... almost 6 years later, we are still together and strong as ever :)

My daughter tried this! She lied for a while and said he was younger. Three years later and their still together. The more I said NO, the more they got around it. Now she is 19yrs old.
The more they say no, sometimes the worst can happen. Chaperoning and some level of trust is your only ally!

let's talk about the 20 year old dating a 16 year old. that's what is creepy. can he not find anyone his own age. of course she wants an "older" guy she's 16. that's so typical of 16 yo girls. 20 year old guy...not so much unless you are after something.

I don't know, but where i live it's only illegal if he's +8, like 15-23 or 24. Anyway no one gives a damn. When I was in the 7th grade a girl from my class, 12 yrs-old, was dating a 19 yrs-old senior at highschool. THAT'S creepy.

This is totally illegal. Billy Ray just wanted the kid to move in so he wasn't the only free-loader in the house. Ugh.... this is sick. This girl cannot even legally drive. She should be a freshman or sophmore in high school.

when i was 15 i started dating someone who was 18, we were together for 5 1/2 years and it had a huge impact on my life.. im not with the person anymore, but i also do not regret any of it.. people mature at different ages and this industry can definitely speed up that process.. if the relationship is healthy then i honestly don't see what the problem is.. there are alot more important things to focus on here
