No More Caged Animals For Jada Pinkett Smith

Jada Pinkett Smith regrets buying a pet for her children because she doesn't like that it has to live in a cage. The actress promises to never purchase a pet that needs to be contained again.

"I think I’ll never get an animal like a snake again where I have to keep her in an aquarium. We have this whole thing for Beauty outside for her, to be in a natural habitat. But at the end of the day, she knows she’s caged into her aquarium.

"We can’t set her into the wild now, but I told (daughter) Willow we won’t do this again and won’t have any animals that need to stay like that.
"Maybe when I get older, that’ll become one of my activist endeavours."

Here she is with Jason Clarke
on the red carpet for the North American Premiere of Pinkett Smith's directorial debut for 'The Human Contract' at the 44th Chicago International Film Festival.

how politically correct of her. maybe she should take her kids to the jungle and see what a snake in its natural environment can really do to a human. something about her scares me. maybe it is the hair. looks like a piece. she is so bony. she needs a potato with cheese and butter added. i think one day someone will find her in a field of bunnies killing them all with a hatchet.

Jada needs to go to a new hair stylist. Her last couple of hair cuts have been "misses" not "hits" in my opinion. She's such a beautiful woman, too, and has so much to work with...It's a shame that her unflattering hair styles detract from her appearance!

The things that celebrities with too much time and money on their hands get themselves concerned over are beyond ridiculous and into the annoying. Please. There are children starving, abused, sold into prostitition...if you want to make a difference, get a real "hobby".

animals are abused as well. Feel free help humans, I help animals and proud of it.

While I can see her point on this topic, I find it interesting that she can have sympathy for pets in cages but not for the caged creatures that are killed & turned into coats for her to wear... something to think about.

actually it is a good cause to think about. Animals are suffering as well. Some people can devote their time helping other people while other should concentrate on animals-nothing is wrong with that. One lady I know, who is a nurse, said that when people think it is odd she is rescuing animals she ssaid she is helping people as well. Concentrate on where your sould is. I love helping animals causes. Try to drive through Oklahoma and see these awful corporate farms with poor animals standing in shit up to their knees. Visit slaugherhouses and see how animals are treated prior to theor deaths. You wil think twice before consuming any meat. HAVE COMPASSION !

Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.
