Did Paris Hilton Break Up Madden / Monk Romance?
Paris Hilton can't help but talk about her romance with Benji Madden because it is one of the best relationships she's been in. However, the more you talk, typically the more unwanted information gets released. It could just be an error of calculation - but Paris recently admitted that she has been dating Benji for "like eight months". That would put her with Benji before his engagement ended to Sophie Monk. Here she is speaking a bit about the beginning of their courting:
"Ever since Harlow was born I was over playing with her and visiting Nicole and Joel - and we just fell in love right away… He said he always had a big crush on me and when I finally became single it was great that we got together - it was the best.'’
Monk’s publicist made the announcement about the Monk/Madden split on February 12th, suggesting the rocker and Hilton were dating before the 13-month engagement ended. But then again, it could be another one of those timing issues - perhaps the publicist waited a bit before making the split public.
What do you think? Was Paris the cause?
Here she is arriving to "The Late Show With David Letterman" yesterday wearing a short black patterened jacket while holding her latest fragrance, Fairy Dust. In true Paris form, the socialite left wearing an entirely different dress - a strapless bright blue one with stars.

I started to say that I really liked the black outfit, but then I saw the 2nd thumbnail with "Paris Hilton" printed on the brown "belts". I do like the concept, but would definitely want a different dress.

If it's Paris, I'm pretty certain she started dating him before they broke up. The girl has zero class, no matter how expensive her dresses are. I like the blue one, by the way.
Sophie Monk was interviewed in another website where she said that she and Benji did not break up badly. That their relationship had ran its course and they are parting as friends. And that Paris Hilton did not have anything to do with their break up. Sophie said the same thing again last month in an interview in Australia.

why do people feel the need to constantly tell others how in love they are? it is annoying as hell. if you are really in love, it would show-you wouldn't have to say a word. anyway, who cares? monk is with ADAM L. can somebody say UPGRADE??!?!?!??! that guy is hot and his music is awesome.
I agree with you. It's so annoying when you have to constantly declare your love publicly. I wonder if thats the only way even they believe it.

I don't care if she broke them up; they are all idiots. WTF is going on with her bangs. I saw her on Letteman last night. I know she says that her "dumb" persona is just an act which may be the case, but I was struck by how she is the most uninteresting, boring person ever. Why do people give a crap about her?

I don't think Paris could break anyone up at this point, she is a joke, lie a caricature of herself.

I hate to say this because I really don't like her, but Benji has been a good influence on her. She isn't flashing her Britney or snorting coke in videos anymore. It's refreshing to see her grow up a bit. Nicole really changed after she hooked up with Joel, too. Hey! Maybe they have another brother for Lindsey. She could use some help. LOL

it's not that she has calmed down, it's just the media isn't as interested in her as they used to be; therefore, she stop going around acting like a complete idiot...people and the paps just stop caring. i really don't know what kind of a 'woman' would want people to think she is dumb all to get publicity. she has got to be the most boring, clueless, uninteresting person on the face of the planet.
yeah, i agree. before she hooked up with benji people wasn't seeing that much of her because the paparazzi got bored with her. that is why when she hooked up with him everybody thought it was for publicity, to get her name in the headlines. i remember a time when i couldn't come onto a blog without seeing 4 or 5 posts about that girl. i always wondered when it would end and finally it did. it doesn't last forever.
Paris did not break them up. Sophie herself said in several interviews that she broke up the engagement at the beginning of the year. She was even quoted as saying "Benji did not leave me for Paris Hilton. Our relationship had ran its course...." These quotes appeared in several websites in March and April 2008.
Wow she's perpetually in high school. Grow up, Paris! You are almost 30 years old. Keep it classy and act your age.
