Russell Brand To Star In Pirates of The Caribbean 4

Russell Brand may be the next person to jump on the Pirates of the Caribbean bandwagon and join the franchise in the next movie. Rumor has it he's in talks to play Captain Jack Sparrow's (aka Johnny Depp's) brother! A source says,
There couldn’t be a role more perfectly suited. There’s a lot of Jack Sparrow in his mannerisms and behaviour. Depp’s accent isn’t a million miles away from Russell’s either.
While he couldn't come close to the same sex appeal as Johnny, I could definitely see him in that sort of part. He'd be great, don't you think?

I just read that this morning! I think it'd be brilliant. He's hysterical & I can absolutely see him in that movie. I'm still a wee bit bummed that Orlando won't be in it showing off his new bada$$ scar. LOL

He was in the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and he hosted the MTV Video Music Awards 2008
I think he would be PERFECT for the part!
I know he was in that movie and the MTV awards, but other than that who is he... or did forgetting sara marshall make him who he is? I just never heard of him in anything else

Does this mean he will play the brother type that is less fortunate looking, slower and less popular?? I cannot stand this guy especially after the VMA's.

Russell basically got run out of the UK in the last week for pulling a rude prank on air during a radio show. He was going to get turfed from his job, so he quit. There's still a media storm going down across the pond because of it. This guy doesn't know when to stop. He needs a moral compass. Good luck finding one in Hollywood.losethatgirl blog

No. He's disgusting.
He is so gross. I really hope that they do not actually put him in the movie. After seeing him host the MTV awards the movie would be tainted for me! Disgusting.
If you see this guy in action you will realize he's JUST as sexy/hot as Depp. Although with Ol'Russ you US-girls will stand a MUCH better chance of sleeping with him. Brilliant casting choice.
even though he was very annoying hosting the award show, he was hilarious in forgetting sarah marshall and he would do great as johnnys brother in the movie!! :)

Oh my goodness, what is WRONG with you guys? Russel is sex on legs. This is the best news I've heard all week... I mean, first the US Election results... then THIS? This totally trumps Obama. Sorry oh wise and lovely man! Plus, anyone connected to the amazing and wonderous Neil Fielding is ok by me! How is it that America is missing out on so much awesome UK comedy TV? Don't you guys get the Mighty Boosh etc?

The image of America presented by the US media would have the world believeing that it is the land of free-will and acceptance. I find it very dissapointing that the minute a new character, relatively unknown, is mentioned on gossip websites American citizens are so very, very quick to jumo in with 'WHO?' and etc. There is a whole world outside America, and whilst I love the US, I find there's so much closed-mindedness that's normalized in the culture... I can't understand where this obtuse charateristic comes from. If you don't like Russell... move along.
