I feel bad that the relationship didn’t work out (or as she calls it – just "a break")… but I am DYING to see how quickly Evan Rachel Wood changes her style and moves away from the goth girlfriend look she’s been running for so long. That just wasn’t who she was prior to meeting MM.
Evan and Marilyn Manson have officially called it quits and the actress spoke exclusively with People Magazine about why she decided to leave but promises the relationship was always a healthy one. She thanked Marilyn for his support through some of her most trying times and will always be thankful for knowing him.
"Manson and I both decided to take some time apart so we could concentrate on work. Someone used that opportunity to kick us while we were down and sell a completely false story.
Manson owns the house he lives in. My brother has never stayed there and the person that said such horrible things about Manson being ‘controlling’ and ‘emotionally abusive’ is certainly no source ‘close’ to me.
Manson has been by my side and taken care of me through the best and worst times. I love him as a person and as an artist. I will always be proud to have been a part of that.
"If any more attacks are made on us, it is the act of a desperate, selfish person, who is angry to no longer be a part of my life. No further comment will be made and we request our privacy at this time."

Dita and Evan are gorgeous women. I don’t know what they saw in MM,certainly not his looks,maybe he really is a nice guy. He does seem kind of weird though.
That comment was going good until she got to the “If any more attacks are made on us, it is the act of a desperate, selfish person, who is angry to no longer be a part of my life”. That made me think that yes the comments came from someone she knows.
She never said the comments came from someone she didn’t know, she just said they certainly weren’t “close” to her. It’s possible it was someone who was in her life for a little while, or maybe a long while at a distance, that was a bad seed and she got them out of her life and they pissed off about it.
how could she seriously have been dating that disgusting excuse for a man anyway?
I like her better with a bit of an edge. Much better than the typical Hollywood blonde factory. It’s unfortunate that women are not allowed to be who they are without people thinking there is something wrong with them. As a Hollywood actress with some success under her belt, I’d think she would prefer spending time with older men. She was pretty young pre-Manson and maybe THIS is who she is?
I doubt she’ll ever apologize to Dita.
i think she refers to him as “manson” in the press just because that’s what people know him as. i doubt she calls him that at home.

Ok she is pretty young and he is fairly old(compared to her). However, usually in long term adult relationships you don’t need to break up to concentrate on work. Look at Jake and Reece.
I agree, Stephanie, especially knowing where he got that “name”. He’s such a weirdo, I can hardly stand looking at his face, so thanks for not posting a pic of him!
so, now will she go back to looking like herself or will she continue to try and morphe into his ex? manson is so nasty looking. i don’t know what either of those women were thinking. hell, i am younger than her and i know better than to go out with a guy who is constantly trying to change me into something/someone i’m not.

ERW is a beautiful young woman. When I saw her at the Venice Film Festival this past August, I could NOT believe that was her! She REALLY rocks the RED hair–and she was wearing a gorgeous green gown. I could tell she had already “freed herself” from MM at that point!
What would she call him? Brian? ahah. Btw, whoa, I love her coat! Fashion find on that one, pleeeeaaaaaaaase!
