Robert Pattinson Doesn’t Feel Like The Ideal Man

Playing Edward is a lot to live up to for anybody….the entire Twilight series is based on how ridiculously attractive he is!It’s only natural that Robert Pattinson had some doubts as to whether he was actually cut out for the job.

"I was embarrassed going into the casting because in the character
breakdown, the first line is, ‘Edward is the ideal perfect man.’"

Kristen Stewart was the deal breaker.

“I literally put it off for five months and then I went in mainly because I had seen Into the Wild and I wanted to meet Kristen [Stewart] because I thought she was cool. But I felt like an idiot being like, ‘Hi, I’m here for the ideal man audition.’ "

And then when Robert finally landed the role, he still had some work to do on his body.

“I was just trying to lose like every ounce of body fat so when I took
off my shirt, I would look like an alien,” Robert says. “I thought that
kind of worked for the story. The idea of taking my shirt off and
looking like some sort of Adonis? Everyone would just laugh.”

Robert also mentioned a crazy experience he had with a little 7 year old fan.She wanted a picture and something extra.

“But then she went really quiet and she was like, ‘Can you bite me?’ ”
he reveals.”It wasn’t a joke… I looked at her and thought, ‘Do you
know what you’re saying?’ "

Robert gives a good interview. He really comes across as very geniune and unaffected.Let’s just wait and see where fame takes him though. With this first movie, the madness is just beginning!

SCARLETT!!: In my opinion they’re all good except for Breaking Dawn (the last one of the 4).

  2. Anonymousxxxxx says:

He is so ugly. He and Justin Timberlake need to hook up.

  3. Obsess Much says:

    Aww..Sporky.. I loved Breaking Dawn!!

  4. Brianne says:

Breaking dawn wasn’t my favorite of the series (it was a little bit anti-climactic for me) however it’s still definitely a worthy read! I could read this serious for 10 more books if Stephenie would just endulge me with them! and I agree with Lara Jane, I’m in love with Edward Cullen, and if he plays the role right, that means I’ll be in love with Rob! Its a good thing I have a fabulous boyfriend to measure up! I bet the Twilight books have gotten alot of guys in trouble! haha!

Sorry to be a booger, but this isn’t his first movie. He was in 2 of the Harry Potters- Cedric Diggory much? and that series is definitely much larger than Twilight is, at least for now. But I think this is his first starring role. :)

  6. Ellie says:

Ew… who is this dude? He looks like a major sleeze. EW!

  7. Anonymous says:

I love the scruffy look, so I think he’s just adorable! I haven’t read the books, but I’m thinking about seeing it on the big screen just for his sexy eyes alone. He’s the anti-Jude Law, and I sorta like that.

    Thanks for the pics!

  8. Kyle says:

I took it to mean first movie of the series not first movie he ever did.

Don’t sweat the petty stuff and don’t pet the sweaty stuff :)

  9. gia says:

not ideal?? he is quite modest…i think he is beyond ideal…i adore him.

  10. Lauren E. says:

I do NOT see what everyone else does. XD I do not think he is attractive AT ALL. I do want to read the series, though. My friends told me about it a LONG time ago and then with the movie coming out and all these girls going crazy over it I kinda want to read them.

  11. Sorcha says:

Robert is so handsome! Looking for to Twilight.

  12. Tiinnaaaa says:

Ok, he’s looking to grundgy latley. It’s starting to make him look like a hobo.

  14. gretel says:

p.s.: the girl outfit annoys me.

  15. bloodcandy says:

Why does he look like he slept in those clothes hmmmmm….Any way,
    he’s funny ……’Hi, I’m here for the ideal man audition. ” …rotflmao…

    ‘Can you bite me?’ ”
    ….’Do you know what you’re saying?’ ”

    ..ROTFLMAO…good lord…lol

  16. kpenny08 says:

You know, in the movie trailors he does look pretty darn good – but lately in the press he just looks like a huge scuzzle-nut!

  17. Sporky says:

LOL @ scuzzlenut! He looks good here. I suppose it would be tough to fill Edward’s shoes, but I think Rob does possess a little of that ethereal beauty as described in the book. 2 more weeks and we’ll see!

  18. Ali says:

Scuzzlenut, oh my god, that’s is fantastic!!! And you’re right, he has been suzzlenutish recently!

  19. Obsess Much says:

I am still likin’ what I see!! Can’t wait ’till 11/21/08!! Got my tickets already.. bring it on!!

  20. starlitbetty says:

haha – okay so I’m not a little girl but I would still ask him to bite me – and I’ve never even read the story but I do hope to see it when it comes out… probably after the rush of all the fans of the book!

  21. Lose That Girl says:

Ew. Not a good looker. Sorry. I know he has tons of fans but I don’t see it. losethatgirl blog

  22. gretel says:

I have no idea whatsoever of what the movie is about, but he’s SO CUTE.

  23. lara jane says:

Here’s the deal… It’s not ROB I want, it’s EDWARD. So when Rob embodies that character, he IS the ideal man. Sometimes he seems to be channeling Edward, but obviously not here. Edward is NOT a “scuzzlenut!” LOL

  24. SCARLETT!!!! says:

ok, so i JUST got done reading TWILIGHT. It only took me two days to finish it. I couldn’t put it down! and the only reason i bought it is because of hearing so much about it on this website from Vera. Before that, i thought it wouldn’t appeal to me because i’m 22 but i was so wrong. I’m going to buy the sequel on my lunch. Anyone else read the other ones yet? I hope they’re just as good????
