Rihanna was feeling a little down after getting sick on stage the other day so Chris Brown decided to get her a little pick me up...$800 dollar underwear! Here's where celebrities and normal people differ. I cannot even begin to comprehend spending that kind of money on UNDERWEAR of all things. Maybe, MAYBE I could understand laying down that much on insanely nice shoes, or a great bag, yes, but underwear, no. I mean, with $800 bucks I could buy my kids' wardrobe for a year!

I remember i use to work in a jewelry store and this guy comes in with his girlfriend and want to buy her a $15000 ring, she was totally shocked and was going on about how expensive it was, so my workmate and i took her outside and asked her "can he afford it, do you like it, do you want it?" ofcourse the answer to those questions was yes but she was so taken aback that he'd want to spend that kind of money for her on a ring...lol...i loved that job, the customers always made me laugh when their mates buy them nice expensive stuff, and when they'd sometimes go "oh my, i don't know"..lol

Besides the usual expensive new house or new car do vacations count? I think I spent about 10 grand on this last vacation to Kaua'i, but that was for both of us, and we are not travelers. I can't remember the last time we went anywhere but to visit family. It's been years. I have spent a lot on furniture for my house, my family room alone was about 10 grand. Custom leather sectional was 6 grand alone, of course if you count the tv, then it would be more. I don't do indulgent purchases for just myself. I did spend about $500 at a spa once, afterwards I felt like I threw my money away.

I bought myself a pair of $750 Bulgari sunglasses last year for my birthday. In the past I've purchased more expensive items like my Louis Vuitton duffle bag, but the sunglasses were a bit ridiculous....I could have bought another desinger pair for $400 less but I just had to have them.

Oh my goodness, you girls are wild!!!!!!! The first thing I thought of when Vera asked this question was an $80 pedicure I got once at the end of a miserable week, but I guess my gucci sunglasses would count, and be more relevant. They were $250 and solved my horrible habit of always losing or sitting on my sunglasses. Otherwise I'm pretty budget-conscious, student and all.
This is dumb ,but I actually spent $5.00 on a jar of Barilla Spaghetti Sauce, because it is hard to find good sauce here in Japan.
hmmm, it would definaltely be the $2,000 I spent on the otherwise $4,000 coat (mink with sable collar) at the Ritz Thrift Shop 7 or 8 years ago.

I will buy myself anything I want that I can afford. Ive bought shoes that were 500, 600 and even higher, I've bought sunglasses for 425.00, I've bought a wool coat from Germany for 700.00 (about 6 years ago, still have it but it doesnt fit anymore), I've bought 300.00 sports jerseys. I have no children, Im single and very selfish and materialistic, I love purses, Ive bought those too. I work everyday so I earn my money and spend it how I want.

I agree- I work 60 hours a week and if I have extra money and want to spend it on myself, I will. Wanting to take away someone's hard-earned money just because you don't like what they spend it on is ridiculous and fascist.
