Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Adopting From South America

There has been some buzz about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie wanting to adopt a baby from South America for a while now. I just can't believe they're ready to adopt so soon after having twins!
Angelina supposedly said,
"We've thought about South or Latin America, but it's very
complicated. Brad and I aren't married, so, as a technically single woman, there are lots of countries I can't adopt from. And, as a technically single man, most countries wouldn't allow Brad to adopt at all. Some countries won't let you adopt a child if you already have a child of the same gender at home."
Granted I'm not sure where the direct source of this quote is from or how old this is, so take it all with a grain of salt.

In her Matt Lauer interview a few weeks ago she said they would adopt again. She also said that you can't adopt until the youngest child in the house is at least 6 months old. So they may be starting the process but it will be a while before they get a child, unless she finds a country with different rules. If that's true about single people adopting, I wonder why they haven't gone ahead and gotten married yet.
I don't like this couple, she comes off a this Saint theresa type, but I dont think she really is. Their coming together seems so grimy. Its like they dress up this "family" in a cloak of charity, but in reality, both of them started their relationship on shady terms. I'm obviously not qualified to speak about it with confidence b/c I dont know all of what happened, but after Aniston came out with her thoughts on it yesterday, the relationship just seems so much more cheaper than I had originally thought.
I think she switched her addiction from heroin to kids. Here is what Dr. drew Pinsky says:

He made a really sweeping statement about Angelina Jolie’s admission of past drug use, saying no one ever gets past using heroin and that he questions whether she’s still sober. You’re either still on heroin, Oxycontin or something else. Unless you’re dead. Is she still using something? Is she in recovery. If she’s in recovery, I don’t see any evidence of it, because people in recovery invest themselves in simple, selfless acts of service, not global self-serving acts.”

Also even if they get married, some countries have rules on how long you have to be married if one or both parties have been married before. I know in some countries it is 5 years.

My personal opinion is that they should wait and get to know the children they already have and newly brought into the world but to each his own.
Yeah, Ditto Stephanie. Kids are not toys you collect. They are people with needs. The kids are carted all over the world. They have no secure home base. And new babies/kids are added every year. It's getting outta hand. Brangelina is a beautiful couple, but they are rotten from the inside out, IMO.
Hear, hear! Why does she have to do this so publicly? I think she is afraid that if she stops bringing kids home, Brad will leave. What hole is she trying to fill? Stay home and take care of the kids you have! Play with their knives or something ;)!
i was never a fan of brangelina, but im starting to like them less and less. everything about them seems so staged and fake.
she is such a bore. tired of the brangelina show. children are people, not collectibles. angelina is boring and self-absorbed. i already know plenty of people like that, they never seem to get better - just worse.
Gosh, why don't you just enjoy the new babies and focus the attention on them instead of diverting it to an adoptee (which will probably need more attention to adjust to the new home). They did the same thing to poor Shiolh right after she was born.

I'm also very curious to see how their brood turns out. All the adoptions are bordering on obsessive behavior at this point, like they live in their own little world where the norm as far as raising kids isn't in their realm....but I guess it is another world with that kind of fame and fortune. I just wonder, can't they get a puppy or something? LOL

Hasn't anyone noticed that she cares nothing for the white babies. If she adopts she loves them, if she has them they're worthless to her. This B**ch is crazy and has no right even owning a goldfish.

angie is a compulsive adopter; children form their personalities before the age of three. these kids will most likely become terrified to ever be without siblings or a crowd near them at all times. this isn't a loving , caring home; it's just a beginning orphan's home where they all get tossed into the mix to fend for themselves and form a pack. Sad, and should be illegal. Another one!!!

Of course she said it. It will knock Jen's remarks about her being "not cool" or "very uncool" off the google alert. Sigh. Enjoy the ones you have. Donate to help others, but dang, get a cat or dog and enjoy and get to know the ones you have.
cats and dogs are live beings and need love and care. In that household we just see a collection of warm bodies. Don't treat animals like toys. It is better to say that Angelina needs to start collecting stuffed bears.

Angelina, do yourself a favor, check yourself in a psychiatric ward. This is an addiction just like alcohol, food, drugs. Addiction means that something is done in excess, over the capacity and overall unhealthy. It is not about the money, she has it, it is about a spychological environment. Yes, I have not been in that household, but how much imagination does it take to see 2 narcissistic adults with a bunch of kids, who live nomadic lifestyle, have tons of money and little principles. Brad is a weed lover and Angelina is a former drug addict with a weak psyche. Plus these 2 adults are constantly shooting movies....
So, her admission of "technically" being a SINGLE WOMAN, puts any rumors of marriage to rest. Doesn't it? Of course, that could be a lie, too, for all we know. They don't call her JoLIAR for nothing.

Just because they are talking about it now doesn't mean that they are going to adopt tomorrow. As with all the other adoptions they are putting a lot of thought into it. ....... I had to laugh about this sentence "these kids will most likely become terrified to ever be without siblings or a crowd near them at all times" ... my best friend is the one of 8. She's fine on her own, she doesn't need a crowd around her and she has no psychological problem. I find it hilarious how all these haters here know so much about the Jolie/Pitt household and so much about what the kids will grow into or that Miss Jolie is still on heroin. Best laugh I had today ;-)
This pairing seems unbalance, abnormal and somehow "dirty". I feel such pity for those children gathered into that mess without any sense of family, home, or love. A pat on the head, a sleep over once in awhile, and then go to nanny just doesnt' make a family. My biggest question is why in the world does Angie want to collect so many babies and then ignore the basic needs of any developing young child? Is it just quantity she is after? Just for show? To prevent Brad from ever being able to do to her what he did to JA? I'm no shrink, but even i can recognize a mentally unstable person when i see one....get help Angelina, get help

Despite the fact that it's obviously better to be adopted and have a chance than to die starving somewhere, she really seems to think adoption is like buying a new piece of entertainment. I wonder what she really does at home.
I'm not trashing her intentions, but my grandmother had 10 kids (biologically) and my mother always said it was really hard because they never got to see her much and, when they did, she couldn't possibly have energy for all of them. And they have years apart.
I wonder how it is with 6 SMALL kids all at the same time.
I don't like Brad and Angelina. They seem fake, phony, put-on... They don't stay in one place for more than a few weeks. I'm sure it seems like fun for the kids, at first. But, after a while, these kids will want to form friendships and stay in one place. Yes, she produced twins, but now seems to want to move on and collect some more. These children need love and attention from Mom and Dad, not from a nanny. We had six children (natural) in my family. Mom was always there for us. We swam, did gymnastics, rode horses competitively, raced go-carts... We watched Disney together. These kids need Brangelina to get married and settle down into one house. No more kids should be adopted. They have more than enough who need attention from parents who are rarely home!
