Hilary Duff Lands New NBC Show

Details are so sparse at the moment, but INO has learned that Hilary Duff just landed her very own show on NBC! It's a one year deal in which Hilary will star in her own network created sitcom as well as contractually have to guest star on a variety of other NBC show.

Hilary Duff is returning to TV, signing a pact with NBC to star in a new series. Under terms of the one-year talent and development deal, Peacock will develop a show starring Duff; Duff will also be tapped to guest star in various current NBC shows. The Duff series would be produced by Universal Media Studios. Deal was announced by NBC Entertainment/ Universal Media Studios co-chairman Ben Silverman. Duff will meet with writers and comb through the Peacock's development for the right project to star in.

I wonder if her Lizzy McGuire fans will come along for the ride.

And while we are talking Hilary, I wanted to post this new quote she gave on The Daily 10 about Blessings in a Backpack as it is a great organization to be involved with.

“Blessings in a backpack started about three years ago. Basically we work with grocery stores to give us a great rate on food and 100% of the money that we get goes to getting food for kids. Kids get a full backpack of food on Fridays they take it home and bring their empty backpacks home on Mondays. No kid should worry about when the next time he is going to eat is.”
