Leona Lewis says she's just a regular girl, so she HATES being photographed in her bikini. UGH, I would too. I cannot imagine having paparazzi shooting away and then having the whole world scrutinize! Leona talks about how the photographers got pictures of her last year while she was on vacation in Barbados with her boyfriend.
"Being pictured in my bikini was a nightmare, especially for somebody like me.
I’m a normal-sized girl and it’s embarrassing. Nobody in their right mind wants to see rough-looking bikini shots of themselves from every dodgy angle. It was horrid."

That's pretty much what she's saying and it's sadly true. Especially in some magazines and on most blogs. Everyone will comment on how hot Jennifer Aniston's bony shapeless ass is in a bikini but will say somebody with more than 2% body fat like the old Jennifer Love, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian or even Scarlett Johansen are fat or "gross". And I'm sure that the comments that follow this one will probably be some of the culprits. We have a sick and warped sense of what is sexiest and every year the ideal gets closer to being 10 year old boys.

She didn't say she hates being photographed, she said she hates being photographed in a bikini. She is not the type of celebs who is known only for her body like Kim K, or others and she is not one of those who stage paparazzi photos. She knows that because she is all-natural and normal, people will just have mean things to say about her body.

I think what she is saying is that when you have a normal sized body and people (the blogsphere), with probably imperfect bodies themselves, are scrutinizing you, because they think that you think you are perfect, every fold and lump, it is daunting to think about. It seems like she is proud of her real woman body. (Though she still appears nicely toned) They are real people. Without airbrushing, false eyelashes and body makeup they look just like you and I. Body issues just like you and I. Just because people tell you are beautiful all day doesn't mean you believe it.
Speak for yourself! I don't have a perfect body, but it's pretty close. I hit the gym 5-6 days a week and rarely eat junk food. I'm not in the public eye or anything, but it's just a personal choice to be healthy. Celebrities (even singers who are not famous for their bodies) should know that looking good comes with the territory. With all that $$ they have, there is no excuse not to look amazing. Leona is gorgeous and very talented, but a nice body she doesn't have! Her arms are a bit meaty and her legs are large. Her waist is small though, which is why she can pull off her extra pounds.
OH, AND I REALLY DISLIKE THE NOTION OF "NORMAL WOMAN." Every woman who is a healthy woman is a normal woman, regardless of weight. HEALTHY is what people should strive for. I for one would be unhealthy if I were anything other than my size 2. My family are all small and petite, and that is what my body is supposed to be like. On the other hand, my best friend would be unhealthily skinny at a size 2, because she, at a size 6, has a bigger frame in general (and she is gorgeous). This whole pointing fingers needs to stop. Depending on your size and body frame: size 2 = healthy, size 6 = healthy, and sometimes even size 10 could be healthy!

that doesnt make any sense...she can walk around & stuff on a public beach in a bikini, but doesnt want to be photographed in one...huh? arent people looking at you anyway as you bend over & run & walk & whatever? plus, why would you wear a bikini if you didnt think you looked your best in one??

they did not need 2 get that close up 2 her...but she looks pretty..far away though...and about her size i would kill to have curves like her..im skinny ..and i get kinda of tired of people asking me why im so skinny.

what she meant is being a normal girl with cellulites and stuff! why r u guys disagreeing with what she said?? leona knows that pple will say mean things about her body so thats y she said that way. i think those previous comments above are so one-sided and illogical.
Leona looks like a really pretty horse. I'm still trying to decide if that's a good thing.
