Taylor Swift Was "Annoying" In High School
Here we go! Yet another celebrity who had a really terrible childhood. While Taylor Swift isn't claiming she was the ugly duckling, she IS admitting that her classmates thought she was "annoying".
Growing up on a Christmas tree farm] was basically a shunning – and that’s never a good thing, you know? A lot of girls thought I was weird. Actually, the word they liked to use was annoying.
"I'd sit at their lunch table and they'd move to a different one."
But making it in the industry surely must have changed her status right? Not exactly...
"It's funny - I thought my contact list in my phone would grow if I was in the music industry. But I had more people in my phone book when I was in high school!"
Well, at least she is being honest. You can't ask for more than that.

she has one of those faces where i cant tell if she is pretty or not....she looks a bit rat-like, but kind of attractive at the same time...weird. i am so very tired of these celebs having to tell us how ugly or unpopular they were in h.s. its like oh please, am i supposed to sympathize or feel better about myself or think you are more interesting or deep or what? i have no idea what reaction they are going for...well, you are super rich & popular now, so why do they even need to tell us that?

omg, i feel the exact same way about her looks but i just could never put it into words. i mwan, it's like she is ugly but she is not. but she really needs to stop going on and on about one of those jonas brothers. she is trying so hard to make him look like a jerk that she is making herself look whiny and bitter. she is sooooooo young and this is not the last time she will have to deal with something like this, so somebody should school her on how to deal with boys. also, in my mind boy bands are so over. i just can't get behind them to save my life. probably because this will end like all the rest of the boy bands: the mimute they get a little bit of success they want to break up and do solo careers. it never fails.
i think celebs say these things because 1.) they're probably asked about it in the interview these quotes come from and 2.) they're normal people like everyone else, and want to show people that. a large portion of her fan base are high school aged girls who can relate to what she's saying.

I totally agree with you, I always feel better when i find out a celebrity can have a problem like everyone else can. And they definitely do take quotes from anything they can find. My problem with this is that everyone is annoyed with her being whiney about the jonas brothers, i haven't heard anything about her and the Jonas brothers and that tells me you had to be looking for it to be found!!!! just my opinion.

It's her eye makeup that makes her eyes look odd. All that black liner and the way its winged are too much. She's prettier wihout all that.
She doesnt look rat-faced, she looks like she is permanently constipated with those squinty eyes and pruned up mouth.
For the life of me, I cannot get the appeal of this girl! Her weird, slanted eyes remind me of Renee Zellwegger (who also can barely open her eyes) and her voice is extremely average. How she made it in country music is beyond me!! She IS annoying and very immature. Every time she is on the radio I turn the channel ... At a recent award show when the bucket of water poured over her during her performance (which was planned - but why??) it was embarrassing to watch. Please go away now, Taylor.

Haters! Taylor Swift is awesome. So REAL compared to other artists. She's the only music artist to have written or co written every song on her CD and have it go (double) platinum. and talking about her looks? shes gorgous. and you know it.

um...well i only found this cuz i can't go to sleep and i have school tomorrow :( but i mean she's pretty and ugly sometimes i can't explain it. at first i thought wow she's gorgeous but her eyes are squintier than mine and i'm asian. now that people compared her to a rat i can see that haha. and i usually just don't like mainstream artists like her but i feel like she got more obnoxious w/ all that make up after she got famous, but that's how it usually is. Why would i be jealous of a rat?? She looks just like one. But she is a great singer/songwriter i will admit, and i like her songs. But that does not mean i am gonna say she is gorgeous, cause Taylor Swift clearly is NOT. Barbra Streisand is a great singer, but one can hardly say she was/is good looking, when i think of "gorgeous"women, i think of Grace Kelly, you my dear need to grow the hell up and realize everyone is not going to share your opinion of T.Swift. Apparently you're not taking into consideration the things that people at her high school know about how she really is. If you did know those things, then her attitude would come as a big shock to you. She was a loser in school. None of us liked her. And you know why? Because she WAS annoying. She did things to make us like her less. She would do weird things and shut people out that tried to talk to her. This image that she has going now is nothing but fake. And Joe was right in dumping her. The REAL Taylor showed then.

You no, i kinda agree she has one of those weird faces but she still is a good singer. but i also agree that she is pretty average, and i've heard girls better than her. the reasonshes a singer is because she went to a recording studio, and actually recorded songs probably and people heard her and started thinking "wow shes pretty good" oh well idk im not her i dont hate her i love her hair and (hair) and most importantly her music cause its clean and comes from the heart. stop hating her, gosh.
