Here we go! Yet another celebrity who had a really terrible childhood. While Taylor Swift isn't claiming she was the ugly duckling, she IS admitting that her classmates thought she was "annoying".
Growing up on a Christmas tree farm] was basically a shunning – and that’s never a good thing, you know? A lot of girls thought I was weird. Actually, the word they liked to use was annoying.

i think celebs say these things because 1.) they're probably asked about it in the interview these quotes come from and 2.) they're normal people like everyone else, and want to show people that. a large portion of her fan base are high school aged girls who can relate to what she's saying.
I totally agree with you, I always feel better when i find out a celebrity can have a problem like everyone else can. And they definitely do take quotes from anything they can find. My problem with this is that everyone is annoyed with her being whiney about the jonas brothers, i haven't heard anything about her and the Jonas brothers and that tells me you had to be looking for it to be found!!!! just my opinion.

For the life of me, I cannot get the appeal of this girl! Her weird, slanted eyes remind me of Renee Zellwegger (who also can barely open her eyes) and her voice is extremely average. Her looks and her voice are both blah to me. But she's got great songwriting skills though. I wish someone else could sing them! Some of her live performances are downright painful IMO (like the recent "You're Not Sorry" at the ACM.....) Seems that she always have elaborate performance sets and costumes to distract attention from her voice....

uhhh, no. taylor swift was NOT bullied! my big sister went to school with her and used to be her friend in hendersonville, but then she was the biggest you know what when she recorded her 1st album and got attention. at a commandos game, she went up to my sister (my sissy has good taste) and said that she liked her bracelet style (my sister wore a tone of bangels and bracelets) and that she was gonna use that style on a photo shoot and promised she would comment that it was my sister's style. but NO! NO COMMENT! taylor was deffinitely annoying. everyone at hawkins adores her now claiming they know her even though they have no relations and they didnt have any siblings or friends who know her. finally, this world has the TRUE story, from a schoolmate's point of view.

Taylor Swift is the most over rated singer in the music industry. BTW, she was not bullied. She was the richest girl in Hendersonville and drove a lexus. If any of you go down to Henndersonville, Tenn, you will hear all kinds of stories about this girl. I live in Henndersonville and trust me, not everyone likes her because she's so stuck up. And no she is not pretty. She's like 9 feet tall and 3 inches wide.
I am absolutely horrified by the amount of jealousy people have for this girl.
