Katie Holmes Takes Suri Shopping In NYC

It’s that time of year in NYC. Everything is just perfect around the holidays. There are so many things to see and do and Katie Holmes is taking full advantage of her time in the big city.

Here she is shopping for snow globes with her daughter, Suri right before heading over to RockefellerCenter’s ice skating rink.

If you live in the vicinity, do you have a tradition of coming down to see the tree? When I was young, every year my mother would take me to see Santa at Macy’s, visit the Rockefeller tree and take pictures of all the window arrangements the department stores would put together. It was always SO COLD, but I loved every minute of it.

Wow Katie’s hair is so short now. I have been to NYC several times, but never for the holidays. I would absolutely love to visit around Christmas, that’s one of my travel goals!

this is nothing but publicity stunt – she’s only there to get her pictures taken. I wish she would stop whoring her daughter like that.

I remember visiting New York as a kid and going to FAO Shwartz around Chrsitmas time (back when there was only the NY store). It was magically.

Of course as an Los Angeles girl living in Chicago, I am finding the whole concept of winter amazing. I met my date on Michigan Avenue this Saturday evening, it was like being on set!

Whenever I see them together, I always think that they are soon going to be separated. That’s just what I think right away without making my brain think that. For some reason, I think that there is a count down for how many days Suri and Katie are going to spend together. And it’s weird. Because I don’t have anything against Tom or Katie, but that’s just how my brain works.

I’d love to be in NYC now. I love NYC, the buzz, the lights, the people, the bars and restaurants… aah, it’s been too long already since I was there, almost two years. ………… I think Katie and Suri look adorable together. As for Suri’s coat, my, how can you even tell by looking at it that it is lined with real fur?

Vera, when the time comes, could you do a Christmas in NYC post? I would love, love, love to see your perspective on it. I know it’s not gossip, but maybe you could see it in your heart…??? :)

    Know what would be awesome? A hat….or gloves…or MAYBE….even a ZIPPED UP COAT…since it’s New York….in mid-November….and extremely cold.

You seem like the type of person who likes to complain about eveything. They don’t seem to be cold. Katie is the mom and she knows what is right for her daughter. So stop be so judge mental, and picky about everything.
Why do they even need to have their coats zipped up shopping in stores?
Maybe they were not that cold, so they keep their coats open. Maybe you are just the type of person who is always cold?

  17. Monica says:

wtf?? Are you serious? Who cares? You’re criticizing the kid’s coat not being zipped and the fact that she’s not wearing winter accessories?

  18. papyrus says:

its just great to see her wearing a coat, pants and socks

  19. Anonymous says:

SHUT UP ALREADY! ARE YOU HER MOTHER? PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMETHING. FIRST BECAUSE SHE DID NOT HAVE A COAT, OR SHE WAS WEARING DRESSES AND THEY THOUGHT IT WAS TOO COLD OUT. NOW SHE IS WEAR JEANS AND A WARM WINTER COAT AND STILL THEY FIND SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. LEAVE THEM ALONE.

I would really love to visit NYC one day. I have never been there. It sounds so awesome.

  24. The Valleys says:

She seems healthy enough to me. Or is it just the “in” thing to do to complain about Suri’s warm weather gear. Actually she’s better off gradually easing into coats and scarves and hats. Not like she’s walking everywhere she goes like James Wilke. If she had on a had and gloves and scarves now she’d be freezing by the time it REALLY gets cold.

  25. Kris says:

I live on L.I. and my first time to the tree I was 5. My grandparents took me. It WAS so cold but like you said soo worth it. I went a lot after that, and now cant wait to take my son and daughter to be. Nothing like N.Y.C. I visit it often, being its only and hour away.

  26. lovebug66 says:

I’ve been to NYC a couple of times, but not at Christmas. It does seem like it would be magical. I was there last January and it was COLD. Even the locals called it a “raw cold”. But that did not stop us from riding to the ferry to Ellis Island. I found my hubby’s grandfather’s name on the plaques. That was cool.

Why does a 2 year old (really 3 but we’ll go along with the charade) have a fur-line Burberry coat? Excessive much? PETA needs to do something about this.

  28. Anonymous says:

Get a life! Her parents can dress her in anything they want. Plus if PETA is going to pick on a two year old, they are really sick.

  29. Amy says:

Nothing like a beautiful snow globe. Which reminds me, the deluge of tv Christmas movies should be about to begin. There was one I watched last year about a woman who magically goes inside a snow globe. I would like to spend a long weekend in NYC to see the christmas decorations and do some shopping, then get back home before Christmas.
