Reese Witherspoon Hates What Being A Celebrity Does To Her Children
Yesterday we heard about Jennifer Garner's issue with a crazed stalker and today we learn that Reese Witherspoon's children get harassed on a daily basis. Just awful!
Reese made the decision to remove Ava from a "wonderful school" because the paparazzi wouldn't leave her alone.
"She was so harassed that we had to take her out.
And it doesn't stop on school grounds. The photographers even ruin family occassions like Halloween egging on the kids to get the right shot.
"The most difficult part is seeing my children being followed and harassed.
They’ve been treated terribly. They were shouted at in their Halloween costumes, photographers screaming, ‘You don’t look scared.’"
The drama has prompted the protective mom to think twice about life in Hollywood.
"I hope not to live in this place forever."
And she tells Parade magazine that fame has become somewhat of a curse.
"It removes me from people. When I first meet someone, it is so hard for me to overcome everything they’ve read about me. It’s not fair.
"It’s difficult, because I’m the kind of person who just wants to hug people."
So very sad. It's different and almost easier for single people to handle the pressure of Hollywood. But when your children are involved, it becomes a serious issue. But there are actors that manage to keep their children out of the public eye. Julia Roberts, Johnny Depp and Bon Jovi are a few that came to the top of my head. Those three make it a TOP priority to keep their babies out of it all.

She should definitely move. I guess it is convenient when your career is in LA but I just couldn't handle all that. Privacy is so valuable and you wouldn't completely realize that until you lost so much of it.

Exactly. Julia Roberts and Johnny Depp don't live in LA, NYC, or London, so it's easier for them to remain more private.
That's actually not true. Both Julia Roberts and Johnny Depp have homes in LA (as well as NYC), and their children go to school in LA, so it's possible. I didn't realize Reese's children were being bothered so much; I don't see many pictures of them.

Johnny Depp definitely chose the most wonderful place on earth to move to. I can't imagine my reaction if someone shouted like that at my daughter. You really have to control yourself not to go there and punch them (which would be like a prize for a pap).

I really wish some of these stars would go before congress and try to implement new laws about these stalkers....because that's what the paps are...stalkers. NO ONE should have to live like this; it shouldn't have to go with the territory.These paps are out of control and it is truly frightning.
even Mel Gibson with 8 children. I don't think I have ever seen any of his children EVER!! I think it's time Reece to move out of LA....it's not worth it. She is famous enough and a truly gifted actress - she does not need any publicity and will not need to worry about being jobless.

Stars seem to have a lot of pull when it comes to certain laws regarding themselves, I'm surprised the paps are still allowed to harass their kids. You would have thought that would have been stopped a long time ago. Whenever I see a pic of Suri or Violet I wonder what the paps said to them to get them to look at the camera. No wonder Ben likes to flip them off.

So sad, they really should implement some laws regarding children and not just the children. Stars in general should only be photographed at red carpet events . Sad world we live in.
the paps are seriously out of control. but, at least she doesn't through her kids into the spotlight with these photo ops and magazine covers. i think that makes it even worse.

Ther are definitly things they can do, move, go out low key, etc, but unfortunatly it comes with the job. The only way to stay out of the limemight is to not be in it.
Where were the paps before Vera and other bloggers' celebrity sites?? They were there but not half as intrusive. Paps are out of control because of $$ generated from their photographs being used by sites like INO. Gosh Americans are so dumb

Another celebrity crying about what the paparazzi do and not doing a damn thing about it. Read between the lines, it is obvious that Reese is playing the Hollywood game. I have no pity for her. End of story.

i love reese. she seems like such a normal person, not affected by the hollywood curse. i wonder though, why doesn't she move out of hollywood???
She can always quit, get a job at a local Walmart and keep her kids away from publicity. These Hollywood types are such a hypocrites.
a lot of hollywood stars homeschool their kids because of paparazzi. So it might be a good idea to start homeschooling your kids if you are sick of the paparazzi stalking your kids!!!
