Aretha Franklin And Diddy Launch R&B Singing / Hip Hop Competition

Aretha Franklin and Diddy have launched a new talent show just for R&B singers and Hip Hop rappers. But guess what – it’s nothing like American Idol. We won’t be able to vote. Only the selected judges will have a say.

"The country will not vote. It will just be me and Diddy voting for who the next star will be."

The weekly show is tentatively planned for 2009.

Truth be told, I am so OVER these competitions. I’m desperate to bring back the scripted show. We need that to be a priority again! I know it’s cheaper to run a reality show, but STILL!

Ok… getting off my soap box now. What do you think about this new show? Something you would be interested in watching?

I am so sick of this reality show, competitions, fake housewives, stuff they call TV. I guess all the networks and writers have no creativity left so they come up with this stuff. It won’t be long, I can cancel my $120/month cable bill!

I can’t stand Aretha. I think she’s a bitter, old, bloated whale. I wish someone would harpoon her lard a$$.
