Kate Moss Explains Scratched Cheek

Supermodel Kate Moss seems to have traded one reportedly turbulent relationship for another: last year, after breaking things off with Pete Doherty, she took up with Kills' guitarist Jamie Hince in September 2007.  And recently, Kate was seen with scratches on her cheek.

Kate initially explained the scratches (and what looked like a black eye on Jamie) by calling it a "Christmas decoration accident."

However, fellow guests at a party overheard the supermodel explain:

'We had a fight yesterday about what to do for Christmas,' Kate revealed.

'We had a bit of a scuffle and I was wearing a chunky ring, which caught him right in the eye. It's all OK now, though.'

Kate apparently isn't that concerned about it.

'We fight and we have our ups and downs  -  like anyone, really.' "

The couple's nonchalance about the physical altercation reportedly struck some partygoers as unusual.

'It's odd because they were arm in arm while they discussed having a fistfight just 24 hours previously.'  "

Let's hope this couple finds a less physical way to settle disagreements in the future! This is no way to spend the holidays!
