I am so over these two constantly complaining about the Twilight series. It's almost as if Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are in competition for who can sound like they care LESS about the movie.
During an interview Rob gave about Twilight's sequel New Moon, the actor admitted it is his favorite book because Edward is hardly in it.
"They’ve started making the second one. It’s going to be shot in March next year (09). The second book is my favorite book - I’m hardly in it."
The man is making $12 million for the next movie. You think he'd be a little excited about the opportunity!!
Rob also admits that the story might get tweaked a bit to add Edward more to the big screen which makes him worried.
"I’m worried about that because the fans of the book will go nuts if it’s changed in any way."
What do you think about actors who don't play the game? Rob isn't the first and he certainly won't be the last. Look at Vince Vaughn! He hasn't done a single interview for Four Christmases. Some say it's because of the bad blood between him and Reese Witherspoon - whatever the reason, he's hasnt' participated in one press junket yet.

I just don't see the appeal in these two. I have tried, I really don't. I still insist that he looks like an ex boxer and she looks like a rodent. A good looking ex boxer and a pretty rodent.

If he hates it that bad maybe he should look for another career while he is still young.
Semi ObsessedDec 4, 2008 @ 09:24 am
look amy u are the meanist girl he should stay in his career because he does it really really well
In their defense (and I'm not a hardcore "OME" or Rob person) - it's got to get old repeating the same thing over and over for weeks on end. I understand there are Twilight fans that want to discuss the new movie and that's fantastic. But these two are only human and are entitled to experience 'I don't give a rat's a**' days. And if I'm not mistaken, Kristen is extremely shy, to the point that interviews with her are painful. I don't blame them for wanting a reprieve.
BrowserDec 4, 2008 @ 09:42 am
I totally agree!!
Sorry, but I really don't like ingrates. Maybe these two should be replaced. There's plenty of gorgeous young actors and actresses who would kill for those parts.

Seriously????? I will admit that Kstew can be a bitch.. and that it does piss me off that she hasnt even read the rest of the books... but the two of them have been promoting Twilight NONSTOP for like 3 months. They get asked the same damn questions over and over.. and I would probably be sick of it too. It isnt like he is saying "the books are crap!" he is giving his opinion which he was asked for.. Give the guy a break. If I was hounded by 15 year old girls constantly I would probably be a little snarky too
i loved the movie i saw it twice : ) but i would have to agree with Ali it was to get old fast answering the SAME questions and talking about the movie for months on end. i don't think he meant it the way it came off. i think they both did great i think they are beautiful as well : )
Rob has always claimed that New Moon is his favorite. Maybe because out of all the other books, this one requires less attention on him and more on Jacob. He has done tons of press for twilight and will have to do the same for the other books, I'm sure he's relieved that his character in new moon will be less and therefore, Jacob (Taylor) character will be handling most of the press...cant say i blame him.

Do you have any idea how many actors and actresses would kill to be in their shoes? TONS. I still think they should be a little more magnanimous toward their fanbase, because one day it may not be there anymore. Trust. And yes, I am a Twilight fan and liked the movie a lot. I'm just being objective here. I think they need to keep their disdain to themselves.

Bottom line.. until we are in their shoes... we cant judge.
Hey Rob and Kristen - SUCK IT UP!! If you don't like the requirements that go along with acting in feature films then here is a suggestion - don't act in feature films!! So what if they're bored with answering the same questions over and over again...it comes with the job. Film promotion is just as big a part of the process as making the film. If you're cashing the paycheck you're required to do the work...as is the case with every other job on this planet.
Yeah... I don't really blame him. Though, in my opinion, the books went downhill after Twilight. The rest kind of felt like over-written filler. I admit, while reading them I was as captivated as most. But, stepping back, it's quite easy to see they aren't the best books ever written. Basically, it's really engrossing fluff.

Oh BTW, did I mention that he looks HAWT!
BrowserDec 4, 2008 @ 10:56 am
i agree girl!!!
I have not liked him at all from the start. I'm glad he's going away. And he's not cute.

Sorry for of you who think they are entitled to whine about "having" to make a movie but lets get real. It's a JOB. If they hate it that much, they need to go do something else. Yes, they give lots of interviews, yes they get asked the same questions over and over! Big deal! It's not like they aren't being compensated EXTREMELY well for it. I think that kind of whining shows bad grace. For 12 million, I'd do as many interviews as they want and STILL smile and say I love it. Heck, for 12 million, I probably WOULD love it. So just think about it before you jump on that boohoo bandwagon. Would you whine if they were paying YOU 12 mil?

What nobody seems to be getting here is that Rob is almost always very dry and sarcastic. Read or watch his interviews. He gives some very silly answers, but I'm wondering now if people are actually taking him seriously???
Semi ObsessedDec 4, 2008 @ 11:01 am
I've never seen an actual interview with him, Im always catching his interviews in print. Dry or not, he's got to know if he's got a shred of common sense that if he says things like that, even if he says it in a dry or sarcastic way, that people are going to take it to mean something else. Dryness and sarcasm dont lend themselves well to print. Just my 2 cents.

I dont know why people are so up in arms over this. Its kind of ridiculous. I'm not like a super fan here or anything, i read the books i liked them, i saw the movie, i liked it, but what Rob was asked was which book he liked best. And he answered. His favorite book is New Moon, there is NO crime in saying that. We all have our favorites, mine happens to be Eclipse. In every interview i have seen (both in print and tv/online) he seems very down to earth and very RESPECTFUL of the Twilight "phenomenon" and its fans, so i really dont see a reason to come on here and say sh*t about him saying this or that, when in fact he didnt say anything bad. At least he read ALL of the books, which is NOT something i can say for the rest of his co-stars (including his leading ladY). He looks at the phenomenon and he takes it as it is, he doesnt take himself all that seriously, and he's going along with it as best as he can. Nobody can blame him for that. And FOR THE RECORD he said that the $2 mil and $12 mil figures that were given that he supposedly made for Twilight and the upcoming New Moon he said are ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE, if you dont believe me watch his new interview from England. He said he didnt know where people came up with those figures, because he has NEVER been paid $2mil for a movie and he certainly doesnt have a $12 mil paycheck for New Moon. it was all lies. There you go. Learn/read/understand before you all judge.
Thats what Im screaming!!
Guys - that quote is taken way out of context. If you want to see the entire interview, please go here: http://www.gm.tv/index.cfm?articleid=32033. He is young and is doing the best he can. He is very shy, just like Kstew. I don't believe any of us can fully understand how quickly his life has changed overnight and he has to be granted some time to adjust. He is new to this so cut the boy some slack.
Look, lets call a spade a spade. Any actors who act in "into the wild' and 'little ashes' are not going tolove monochrome flat characters to play. Both of them did it for the work and the recognition. Twilight is a fun movie but it was not a good movie and I love me some mindless fun but must everyone be grateful for mindlessness? Is being intelligent and being able to critique good from bad movies a crime now? Both of them obviously did not enjoy playing the characters and did not like the book. Its very had to sound sincerely thrilled about being a horrible but lucrative movie in interviews. That would explain Stewart's reluctance to talk about the movie. And that would explain his antagonism towards crazy fans who just want to look athim instead of talk about the project.
*applause for Callie* Well-said!

i absolutely adore rob...i think he is gorgeous & i really like him even though he may be somewhat of a cad...kristen seems like a real bitch...in general i am also completely tired of their bad attitudes...hers is way worse than his & its just rude. they are making millions off of this & still sounding like spoiled brat ingrates, like they are so above all this "twilight" stuff...it comes off as disrespectful. as for them possibly being tired of all the repetitive questions, that is their job & they get paid quite handsomely for having to deal with all the travel & interviews. whose job isnt repetitive? acting isnt rocket science, so if they are on some intellectual high horse thinking that they are too good for fluffy entertainment then they need to make better career choices & not take it out on the fans.
BrowserDec 4, 2008 @ 12:37 pm
yeah I'll defend Rob because when you watch him in interviews he jokes around alot and he doesn't take himself seriously. I think people read too much into what he says and take things out of context. Kristen on the other hand just annoys me and she makes it quite obvious that she hates doing interviews.
BrowserDec 4, 2008 @ 01:04 pm
it sounds to me he's just joking about the fact that he's not in it? plus they have been promoting non stop?? he's not like vince vaughn and four christmases where he's not doin any press whatsoever
I'm sure he wasn't serious. Stop picking on my man!
Occasional VisitorDec 4, 2008 @ 01:55 pm
seriously, i don't understand what everyone is going on about. he said that he liked the 2nd book best and that edward is less in it...i don't see how that equals to "I dont't like the movie I'm making or the books it's based on". The only thing you can blame him for is that he doesn't see edward as a perfect person. and kristen has repeatedly said that she loves the books just as much as any other fangirl and that she begged for the part... still, I do understand why one might see them as being reluctant, they are not behaving like your typical hollywood star.
