It is Angelina Jolie's time to shine. If falling in love with Brad Pitt, having six beautiful children, serving as a United Nation's ambassador, and starring in a number of hit movies weren't enough proof that Angelina's time has come, here's another one:
Angelina Jolie is now the highest paid actress in Hollywood, reportedly earning more than $15 million dollars per movie.

Angelina topped the Hollywood Reporter's list of highest paid women in the industry, edging out Reese Witherspoon, who topped it last year.
She even managed to snag a role from Tom Cruise: the spy thriller Edwin A. Salt is being re-written for her to star instead, despite reports that several male stars were interested in the role.
Angelina ranked #24 on The Hollywood Reporter's 100 Most Powerful Women in Entertainment list (Oprah Winfrey edged her out for #1).
The entertainment industry is so male-dominated, it's good to see women getting recognized.

Yea, I thought it was Reese at 20 mil. Her recent movie did really well at the box office. But, I guess it has went down. And Julia is not doing anything, so I doubt she is still commanding that much money for a film. I think if your films fail one after the other then you will have to start asking for less. But, Reese is the only one that deserves to be on the list. She is actually the star of her successful movies, not the co-star like angelina. She was the co-star in Kung Fu and Wanted. i didn't realize that you could make so much for being a supporting actress. I really don't know about Changeling but I did hear it didn't do as well as expected. Cameron and Heigl? Why are they on the list? Julia is also on the list-in the top five nonetheless. Why?

I guess you haven't seen much. Go rent a few of Meryl Streeps films: Sofie's Choice, Silkwood, Kramer vs Kramer, etc. etc. Then give your opinion.

I'll admit that i was disenchanted with Angie for her callous behavior toward a married man's wife while the affair was ongoing during MAMS, and her great need for public approval judging by all the staged press photo ops, staged press humanitarian acts, etc. BUT, somehow i've gone from thinking she's a heartless bitch who'd stab her own mother in the heart if she lusted after her man, to one of pity. I am now wishing her luck in her relationship with the relationship unstable Brad Pitt, health for her six children, and for her to finally find peace with her inner demons. I watched her last night in Wanted, and all i could feel was somehow sad for her. She's lost the magic she once possessed, and appeared to be an underfed, overworked, worn out woman. Not being facetious here, sincerely i pitied her. Bags under her eyes, dull hair, nothing but skin stretched tightly over a bony frame....not the Angelina Jolie of three years ago....May that one rest in peace, and may this one find peace.....

Anytime she ventured to real acting and by herself as LEAD ACTRESS and not flocked by other strong REAL ACTORS her movie BOMBED, like Changeling(2008), Bewuolf (2007) and A Mighty Heart (2007) all bombed!! What do we do now Changeling has bomb, it hasn't even made the ever flutuating studio money yet, from $80 million to $55 million ever changing to save face. oh well, lets fax the press, says angieho, to print how incredible and high grossing an actress she is. Bladde la blash, fabrication, utter fiction and all in angieho's Lara croft cartoon personality disorder mind. The 2008 movies 'Wanted and Kung Fu Panda are not angie's movies, she had a small part and a voice-over. How she always have to take credit that doesn't belong to her is really appalling and disgraceful. The main actors in these movies have been relegated as nonetity and not mentioned by the press, it's all angie's movies. What a shame!!

No, she would not. Before brad, she was a popular actress but she was never famous like this. Just about all her movies were a bomb and she wasn't considered a serious actress. Once she hooked up with him, the movie roles poured in. This is just another case of famous by association. It's funny because she went up and he continues to go down--with looks and talent(or lack there of).

Highest paid actress with the most hideous teeth in Hollywood. Maybe she should use some of that money to get them fixed. It beats me how/why she's the highest paid actress when clearly can't act and her movies have been bombing in recent years. Guess she's using what money she does have to buy good PR with. I used to really like her, but she could drop off the face of the earth now and all would be well with the world.

i completely agree. i will never understand why the people in hollywood, with all their money, would walk around with messed up teeth. i.e kristen D, Jewel etc. i never noticed how busted angie's teeth are.

What is with all this hate??? Why make it so personal??? I think she is a wonderful actress and she deserves every penny. She made Girl, Interrupted a hit movie of the year and she wasn't even the lead actress. She shares her fortune with other and tries to make the world a better place. Oh I love Angelina!!! She makes the world a better place, how did people survive before she came along? Please, get out of her ass, she is not changing the world, she is changing how people see her and her image. And yes, before Brad, she was not that famous and all of her movies sucked really bad at the box office. Get over the "Girl, Interrupted" movie, it was 10 YEARS AGO!!! Good for her! I think she's an excellent actress. I loved her in A Mighty Heart and in Girl, Interrupted. ................. Just because a movie sucks at the box office doesn't mean that she's a bad actress. A lot of movies don't make big bucks at the box office, for example small independent films. That doesn't make them bad movies. She was quite famous before Brad came along... ever heard of Laura Croft to name just one example? ;-)
