Despite having raised two teenagers, Nicole Kidman reportedly still feels torn about balancing work with spending time with her five month old baby, Sunday Rose.She loves her new baby so much, it has her family concerned.
‘I can’t bear to be separate from my baby; I’m totally devoted to her,’ she says in a new interview.
‘Mum says I’m over-bonded with her, but I don’t care.’ "
Nicole said she suffered miscarriages throughout her marriage to Tom Cruise before finally conceiving Sunday with her second husband, Keith Urban.Her difficulty conceiving was a trait she shared with her character from her new movie, Australia.
‘My character can’t have children of her own, and that was me until
the last two months of the the film, when a miracle happened.‘I never thought in my lifetime that I would get pregnant, but it happened on this movie.’ "
This is a struggle that I’m sure all mothers can sympathize with!I wonder what qualifies as being "over-bonded?"

I worry when I hear comments like Nicoles as I cant help thinking the poor child will grow up being spoiled and have no boundaries because the parent cannot say No to anything the child wants/does.
I wonder if Nicole feels more like a mother to Sunday Rose then with her adopted children. It doesn’t seem like either of her kids with Tom Cruise get any attention from their parents.

She is a third-time mother but she acts like this is her first child. And why is she gripping the baby’s forehead like that?

That was nothing more than a PR opportunity for Nicole. The movie is not doing so well internationally. That’s why the baby is now being rolled out for our viewing pleasure. Why would she put the baby in a car seat? She then wouldn’t be able to cuddle her for the cameras.

I hope she’s not hurting her other two kids though. Surely they’re feeling the difference?
The baby is asleep and her head would tip back with out the support. Get a life and let this mother alone. Why does everyone seem to know what is best for other people’s children?
She’s becoming as crazy as her ex-husband, Lil Tom. They both act like first-time parents. I feel sorry for the other two kids when I read things like this. I had hoped she’d be better than Tom, but I think those two kids struck out in the parent department.

How can you “over-bond” with your baby? You can’t love someone too much; just like you never be too rich or too beautiful!
Did anyone see the pic of her holding her baby in a moving car instead of using a carseat? Sitting in the backseat it looked like, but you can also clearly see that there was NO carseat in that bench seat with her. Im totally appalled that nobody has jumped all over it.

I hope she feels close to her other kids too…it just seems like they have been neglected or put of to the side (from Tom as well). I don’t know.

I am happy she loves her baby, but loving your kids means putting them in car seats. I saw that picture earlier today. Horrifying. And you gotta wonder how her other kids feel about Sunday. Haven’t seen any pictures of Nicole with Connor or Bella in a long time. Sad.
Nicole has frequently been quoted stating that her other children do not call her mom and do not seem to want contact with her despite her heartbreak at this situation. There seems to be nothing she can do so why not bond with the child she has with her husband?

Car Seats are not necessarily mandated by law in other countries. I think she should be in a car seat, but holding her in some of these countries is perfectly legal. TomKat doesn’t appear to use carseats either.
And as to Connor and Bella–Nicole said they were in Nashville with her a couple of weeks ago in another interview. She also said they prefer the bustle of LA to the quietness of Nashville and that she hopes they will change their mind.
You are quite simply mistaken about carseats and having to use them everywhere to protect children.
Yes, and in those countries child mortality rates are sky high due to auto accidents! Legal or not, the woman is followed by a pack of blood thirsty paps who could very easily cause an accident. Not worth the risk EVER IMO. And TomKat DO use child seats, I’ve seen them.
